I had made my way to my house from the bus stop I was dropped off at, I greeted my mom and quickly went to my room. I dusted off all my All Might figurines and figured it would be best to get ready to sleep.
I brushed my teeth, took a quick shower, and got in bed. tossing a blanket over myself, I adjusted my position until I was comfortable.
It went dark as my lamp light turned off. Attempting to sleep, I tossed and turned.
After a while of many sleep attempts, I groggily sat up and turned my lamp on.

"Why can't I sleep?" I mumbled to nobody in particular while rubbing my eyes. Sitting up, I turned on my phone. The time read "12:40." I plopped back down onto my bed, opening my "messages" application on my phone. Still no messages. Why should I expect them? I don't have many friends.
My phone screen suddenly went dark. Did I forget to charge it again?
Sitting up, I reached for my cord plugged into the wall. I plug my phone into the charging end, setting it down on my nightstand so it could charge.
I lay back down again, staring at the ceiling. The whir of the fan above me became more apparent once I had laid back down. Turning the light off, I closed my eyes once more and hoped to get some sleep.

My mother walked into my room to wake me up, only to see that I was already awake with bags under my tired eyes.
"Izuku, did you get any sleep?" she asks with visible concern on her face.
I squint when she turns on the light in my room.
"Yeah, mom, I did." I lied.
"Well, how about we go get some coffee?"
"Sure. I will have some."
I spoke, the tiredness evident in my voice.

After preparing for school, I sat down on the leathery sofa patiently waiting for my mother to finish brewing some coffee. The scent was strong, making almost the whole house smell of the pungent scent of coffee. My mother eventually entered the room, a cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand.
"Do you want some coffee creamer with that?"
"No thanks. I'm good."
Sipping out of my mug, I head out the door.
"Have a great day, Izuku!"
I waved at my mother as the door closed behind me.

Walking to the bus stop, I saw Denki. He was one of my classmates; I didn't know him that well, though. I figured I should go and talk to him so maybe I could make a new friend.
"Hey! Denki!" I waved while giving a smile.
"Oh! Hey! Aren't you Izuku? Nice to finally meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too."
I replied.
"So, how have you been?" he asks, probably noticing the bags under my eyes.
"ah. It's just a little bit of insomnia. Nothing too bad."
I say, taking a sip of my dark coffee.
There was a slight breeze that made my green hair fly in every possible direction. I heard Denki chuckle as I rushed to fix my hair.
Denki was slightly taller than I was. His hair was a yellowish color with a black stripe likely resembling a lightning bolt. He had this confident smile on his face as if he were ready to face anything. I kind of admired him for that.
The bus stop was quiet besides birds chirping as they flew above, likely flying for migration season. It was too early in the morning for some people to start talking.
The bus had arrived, and we sat together. It felt weird being able to sit with someone on a bus, even if it was uncomfortably crowded.

Denki and I walked into class 1A together, having a conversation about what we were excited for in class. We were going to get practice with our quirks today! I was excited because this would be my first time using "one for all" without all might by my side. I was slightly frightened, though, because I know what one for all does to my bones.
Kachan carefully watched me as I headed to my seat to sit down. His eyes showed a flash of.. worry? But he's never worried about me. I must've been seeing things.

"Hey, nerd. Are you excited to use your stupid 'quirk' today?"
Yeah, I was definitely seeing things.
I nodded my head in response.
"Everyone else is too."
"You mean those extras?"
He says in an angry way.
'I honestly think this class would be better without them.' I hear him murmur to himself.

The moment Aziawa walks into the room, the bell rings, and class starts.

"Today we will all be practicing using our quirks." he says in a very monotone voice.
The class excitedly cheers.
"We will also be testing other factors, such as your endurance, strength, and even your other abilities."
Some of the class booed.
The teacher glared at whomever had done so.
"We are going to head outside to do this training. So everybody,"
He presses a button on a remote he had in his hand, and the wall opens. Our hero suits were inside.
"Get your costumes on."

"Woah!"
Masahiro says.
"How cool!"
Mina exclaims.
We all rushed to grab our new hero suits. When I grabbed my suit, I examined it. It had ears like a rabbit on its head. It was an off green color, closely resembling the color of my hair. It seemed as if it would be tight on me, but that shouldn't be much of a bother when I finally get it on.
The whole class rushed to the lockers to get their suits on, me tagging along with them.
"Stop shoving!"
I hear someone yell from the jumbled pile of kids ahead of me.
Once we all finally got our suits on, the class and I headed outside in a single file line.
The first test we would be doing was our endurance test. There was a large red track made of concrete that was in front of us.
We all lined up in order of who would go first. I was third in line behind Tenya and Jirou.
Behind me was Koda and, of course, Kachan.
stretching, I tried to prepare myself for this test and ignored Bakugou as he shouted threats at me about what would happen if I managed to surpass him in this race.
I would be more confident if my suit wasn't practically squeezing me to death. It's likely to be tough to run with this on.
Aizawa blew a whistle, signaling for Tenya to start running. I saw flashes of light where he stood before he was gone.
Is his quirk speed related? I thought to myself.
Just as I had done so, he sped right past us and completed his lap, skidding to a stop with a smile on his face.
Aizawa stopped the stopwatch in his hand and nodded. He then quickly jotted down the numbers in a clipboard that he held.
My anxiety was beginning to rise because my turn was coming soon. But why was I so scared?

Jirou got into a running position and prepared for Aizawa to blow his whistle.
The whistle sounded, the high-pitched sound piercing my ears.
I stood and watched as she ran at a slow pace. She was a lot slower than Tenya, likely because her quirk wasn't related to speed.

By the time she made it around the full loop, she was gasping for air. Aziawa clicked his stopwatch, grunted, and wrote something on his clipboard.

Finally, I was first in line.
