When I arrived at school, I headed to the breakfast line to grab some breakfast. They had yogurt, juices, milk, and cereal up for grabs today.
I got myself some yogurt and juice. Once I had purchased my breakfast and exited the line, I sat at the nearest table.
I was usually never here early enough to grab breakfast and always ended up skipping it. But I figured that due to what happened yesterday, I could at least try to eat something, no matter how late I was.
There were 3 different kinds of juices on display. Fruit punch, apple juice, and orange juice.
I had selected apple juice because it has always been a childhood favorite.
I pushed my green hair out of the way of my face before stabbing the sharp end of the straw into the juice box. I sipped from the juice box, taking in the intense sugary drink.

“Hey!” a feminine voice said from my left.
I turned to look who had said this. I didn't recognize her face. I suppose she was from class 1-B, right next to our class.
She had brown hair that went down to about shoulder length. She had pimples here and there on her face, and she wore a smile that could make one feel immense happiness just by looking her way.
“Hi!” I spoke before bringing my juice box up to my lips.
“How are you doing this fine morning?”
“I'm doing good. How about you?”
“doing great! I'm just waiting for my friend to get out of the breakfast line.”
She said, pointing to her friend in the lunch line. Her friend appeared to have a duck quirk. They had the beak of a duck and white feathers all around their body. They were attempting to carry 5 juice boxes in one hand, dropping one of them every time they attempted to move.
“I see.” I replied blandly.

“weren't you on that bus yesterday?” she questioned, turning to face me.
“You mean the bus with the crazy driver?”
“Yeah! I saw you technically start flying out of your seat! It was probably fun experiencing that from the far back of the bus.”
“Yeah, it was pretty fun. My head almost hit the roof, though.” I laughed.
“Oh damn.”
“Do you go on that bus?”
“Yeah. That's why I saw you.”
“That's pretty cool.”
Her friend started approaching our direction, their yogurt, 5 juice boxes, and coffee in hand. It looked as if they were trying to juggle everything.
“maybe you shouldn't have gotten that many, Ducky-”
“I only got so many so I could make you carry them all, Opal.” Ducky responded, a mischievous grin on their face.
Opal sighed.
“Well, it was nice meeting you! See you on the bus?”
“I suppose I will! Oh, and by the way, the name's Izuku!”
“It was nice meeting you, Izuku!” She shouted before heading in an opposing direction.
I glanced at the ticking clock on the wall.
‘I should probably head to class.’ I mumbled to myself. Class was about to start.
I got up and out of the chair. I walked to the nearest recycling bin and threw away my juice box. Going back to the table, I grabbed my yogurt and some of my other items and headed off to class.

When I got in the classroom, people were talking left and right. I looked around and saw Denki and Kirishima talking with one another. Denki was probably telling him about our conversation at the bus stop earlier. I sighed and shook my head. I still didn't know if any of this was true. I also didn't even know I was gay. I've never even dated anyone before.
Kachan walked into the room not too shortly after that parade of thoughts was finally over with. I noticed him staring at me as he went to sit down at his desk.
“You doing alright there, Deku?”
“Huh? Oh. Uhm. Yeah.”
“You seemed out of it. I just wanted to be sure. Especially after that whole.. thing yesterday.”
He cast a smile in my direction before turning back to face the front.
This situation appeared to be furthering Denkis previous assumptions.
His spiky blonde hair looked different than usual, too. Today, it seemed more contempt and not all over the place.

The teacher walked in the moment the bell rang, with a large smile on his face.
Despite the same typical appearance he always had, something seemed off. I wondered for a moment before looking to see a ring on his finger that hadn't been there before.
“Mr. Aizawa, what is that ring for?” I asked, pointing to the ring on his finger.
“I got engaged yesterday.” The class lets out a gasp of surprise.

“Who's the lucky lady?” Mina questions from the back of the class.
“He's not a lady. And you may know him.” he points to the wall. Class 1B was on the other side of that wall.
“YOU’RE MARRIED TO MR. YAMADA?”
Mina exclaims as Aziawa nods.
“Woah! That's so cool!” I said.
Aziawa’s smile only seemed to grow larger the more the kids complimented and congratulated him for his recent engagement.
“Alright, settle down.”
The class got settled into their seats and quieted down, awaiting the next lesson.
It was lunchtime yet again, and I headed to the line to grab my lunch. This time, I would make sure to try and eat some.
I had decided to eat outside that day. It was quieter outside, and despite the fall season approaching, it was surprisingly warm.
I sat on the black bench closest to the entrance of the school.
Placing my food down on the bench, I hear my phone ring from in my pocket.
Who could be messaging me at this time?
I opened my phone and saw the message was from Denki. It read:

Denki!:

Hey! Bakubro (or, as you call him, Kachan) was wondering if he could sit next to you.
He was too lame to tell you himself

I unlocked my phone and replied to the message.

Izuku:

Sure! He can come sit out here. I could use some company.

Denki!:

Alright! I will make sure to tell him!

I turned off my phone and patiently waited for Kachan to arrive. My feet swung back and forth as I sat, my impatience slowly growing. I started to eat some of the pizza off of my lunch tray. It was very greasy, and I pushed it away with a disgusted look on my face.
Finally, he came outside, bursting through the doors.
“That stupid ass line took forever! I was about to blow up that kid in front of me!” he complained.
I laughed, a genuine laugh.
“Sometimes you just gotta wait.”
I replied, hearing him grunt angrily.
This reminded me a lot of those years. Before all the bullying, the yelling, and the pain. But he seemed to be… changing. Was it actually because he caught feelings?
“So, how have you been, nerd?”
He questioned, almost as if he knew I was in my head again.
“I've been doing good.”
“That's nice.”
There was a small, comfortable silence before he spoke again.

“Hey. So, uh..”
He scratched the back of his neck anxiously,
“Could I get your phone number? You know, so I can communicate with you for projects and such.”
“Sure! Do you have a paper and a writing utensil?”
“Yeah.”
He scavenges through his backpack, eventually pulling out some orange sticky notes. He goes through it a second time to grab an already sharpened pencil.
“These should work.”
Bakugo hands me the supplies. I start writing my number on the small slip of paper, being sure to make it legible. But suddenly, the lead on the pencil broke.
“I'm sorry-” I flinched, expecting him to yell.
He instead remained calm and content.
“It's alright, you dumbass.”
He reaches for his backpack, grabbing a mini sharpener out of one of the side pockets.
He reaches to take the pencil from me but grabs my hand instead. We both awkwardly turned away, blushing.
He hastily grabbed the pencil from my hand, sharpened it, and gave it back.
Once I completed writing on the small note, I stuck the piece of paper to kachans forehead, giggling.
Kachan sighed, letting out a slight chuckle.

The blonde boy started to eat his lunch he had on the table. Unlike Izuku, he had gotten the other lunch option: a burger. Bakugo bit into the odd looking food, swirling it around in his mouth before deciding to spit it back out.
“This food tastes like ass! Why was the line so long if the food wasn't even that great?”
“Well, some people don't have enough money for those sorts of things, you silly goose.”
Kachan opens his mouth as if to retort but closes it again.
I instead hear him mumble, ‘silly goose, huh? Pretty cute nickname..’
I quickly covered my face so he couldn't see the intense blush creeping onto me.

The lunch bell had rung, and there was one thing for certain. I had realized I, Izuku Midoriya, had caught feelings for Kachan. But was I certain he felt the same way? No, I was not. But this feeling in my chest wasn't to be stopped until I found out for sure.
