As the day rolled on, my mind couldn't help but wander back to my actions with the High Priest that very morning. Did I truly like it? Yes. Did I want more? Yes. Is it wrong for me to feel like this? Yes. But why did it feel so right? I sighed heavily whilst watching the afternoon sun. Evie and Rick were not going to like all this. After all, all they want to do is put him back in his tomb or kill him once and for all. And Ardeth. Ardeth is a Medjai. He is sworn to protect the world from Imhotep. He would want nothing but to kill him too. I didn't know what it was, but something inside screamed for me to listen. It screamed for me to not let that all happen. The Priest has made me feel things that I have never felt before. But he's a murderer and a killer. But he's also kind and protective.

I put my head in my hands and I rubbed my forehead and cheeks. What have I got myself into? How an earth am I going to get out of it? My gaze soon fell onto Imhotep's figure on the other side of the campsite. He was standing tall, his robe still off, his toned chest still in view. He was talking to a few men in red about something. I couldn't guess what it was about but he looked a little angry. His eyebrows were close together and his nose flared every now and again. His voice was also raised when he got to certain parts of his sentence. I gritted my teeth when I saw Anck-su-namun step out of a nearby tent dressed in not much, nothing but a small skirt and small top.

She walked confidently towards Imhotep and soon she was clung to his left arm. He didn't seem to notice her presence which made her pout. My lips curled into a smirk. Imhotep was too busy shouting at the men in red to even realise that she was there. It was almost like he didn't care. Soon Anck-su-namun let go and just stood there, waiting for Imhotep to acknowledge her. But when she had let go of him, he strode quickly over to where I was sitting on massive stones near the pebble bank. "Eric I need to talk to you." His tone was demanding but I also sensed some uncertainty. "Please?" I smiled and nodded. I stood up and made my way down towards him. "Go ahead."

Imhotep breathed in heavily before breathing out. "I, err, it's about this morning." I raised my eyebrow, wanting to know what it was he was going on about. I waited patiently for him to continue his words. "I just wanted you to know that I never meant to hurt you and I feel as if it shouldn't of happened-" "Did it feel right?" I interjected. He looked at me with fire in his eyes. "Yes." He murmured. I nodded. "Do you want more?" "Yes." His voice dropped and trembled a bit. "Then," I moved forward and wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him closer. "I think we have our answer." I said before I leant in and kissed him. His hands instantly found my waist and he did not pull me away. He wanted his, I thought, and so did I.

"Imhotep!" A voice broke us apart. It was none other than Anck-su-namun and she was seething. "How could you?" I saw that Imhotep's eyes softened. "I'm sorry." He spoke apologetically which made my eyebrow shoot up. Ah shit, I forgot that they also had a thing. Love or not. "Anck-su-namun, I am sorry but I love Eric." She chuckled tightly. "Oh it's Eric now." She nodded. "I see." She turned on her heel and sped off towards a tent. Imhotep groaned before running off after her, leaving me alone. My heart dropped. I knew he still loves her but I never thought that it would hurt this much. Did I truly love Imhotep? Is that why I hurt so much?

"Uncle!" Alex came running towards me. When he got to my side, he instantly hugged my middle. My arms went to his shoulders and neck and I crouched down a bit to get a better angle to embrace him. "Oh Alex, are you alright?" He nodded but didn't break the hug, if anything he tightened his grip around me. "I saw Imhotep run after Snake lady. Did anything bad happen? Uncle?" I smiled and broke the hug so I could speak to him face to face. "No. In fact, Imhotep and I are definitely on good terms." My mind flashed back to earlier when he whispered into my ear or kissed me like the world was about to end. Alex narrowed his eyes. "Is it what I think it is?" When I couldn't form words, he reacted when he got his answer.

"Oh Uncle. I'm glad but what about mum, dad, Ardeth and Jonathan. What are they going to think?" Panic was laced into his words. I ran my hand through his sandy hair. "Hey I'll think of something. I promise it." He gave me a weak smile. There was then a shout and the man in red from he train stormed up to us. "Leaving breadcrumbs, are we?!" He picked Alex up by the collar and I heard him yell. I punched the man's side, hoping to get a reaction out of him but there was nothing. He was too strong for me. I tried again and again but it was no use. It was only when a voice called to us when he stopped dead in his tracks. I turned my gaze towards the voice and so did Alex and the man.

"Put the boy down Lock-Nah. Don't upset my prince or you will suffer the consequences." Imhotep was in the river, standing waist high. His arms out either side of him to help him balance. His voice echoed out to us devilishly. A chill ran down my spine and by the looks of Alex and the man, theirs did too. Imhotep's gaze lingered on me for a moment before he looked in front of him. He moved his arms forward as if he was pushing the water away from him. But that was exactly what he was doing. Moments later, a massive wall of water rose higher and higher until it was almost the same height of the rocky walls either side of us. He was performing a water spell I thought. But for what?

When the water couldn't possibly go any higher, he pushed the water away forcefully and the wall began to move away until it was out of sight. Imhotep's eyes were closed and it looked like he was concentrating on something. I looked at Alex confused. "He saw a balloon floating up above. I think it was mum and dad." He started to tear up a little. A slight panic rose inside me and I looked back towards Imhotep and his water spell. His eyes were closed tightly and he was slowly muttering something. When he smirked darkly, I knew that he had found them. Without thinking, I ran towards him and soon I was wading through the water. When I got to his side, only one thought crossed my mind. I grabbed him by the neck and crashed my lips upon his. I could feel him tense up, his spell already fading. But I didn't care. I kept on kissing him until I felt him push his body into me. I moved to the side, bringing his body with me. His hands slowly ran up and down my back, keeping my body in place.

"Mmm. Eric." He spoke murmuring with a hint of frustration. "Why do I melt under your power? Why do I feel so empty without you by my side?" I pulled away and caressed his cheek. "Because you love me." I answered shortly and he nodded. "Yes." He muttered. "I do." He reached up to the back of my head and grasped a handful of my sandy hair. He tugged on it slightly, causing me to wince. He grabbed my neck with his other hand and smashed his lips into mine. My hands trailed down his bare back and towards his waistband. Imhotep groaned into the kiss making me smirk. "Fuck you." He hissed. "When?" I teased him. He pulled away a bit. His eyes filled with lust and fire. His mouth formed a dangerous smirk. "What did you say, love?" He rumbled. I blushed slightly causing him to chuckle. "You heard me." I told him with a hint of mischief.

Imhotep smirked darkly. "Oh I'm counting on it. I've waited 3000 years Eric. It's only been you." I stare at him with wonder. "I-I love you." He stopped completely. "What?" "I love you Imhotep. I see that now." He breathed heavy. "You do?" I laughed and placed a hand on his chest. "I do." I pecked him on the lips. "I promise you."
