Chapter 1 - Arrival

Aalayah POV

I yawned as I finished my homework, a combination of physics and math. Now I can finally relax and watch some One Piece!

"Eh?!" What's wrong with the TV? I fiddled my remote, but the screen kept flashing. I stumbled back as the screen suddenly turned blue. "What is this?" I walked towards the screen to inspect it. As soon as my fingers brushed the screen, it suddenly sucked me in. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed as I felt myself free falling. "Ooof!" I exclaimed as I fell flat on my face.

Rubbing my eyes, I inspected my surroundings. I seemed to be in a storage room with wooden barrels and crates. My feet wobbled as I tried to stand up, as if my surroundings were moving like on a ship. Wait there's no doubt about it, I AM on a ship! Don't tell me... I'm in One Piece?!

I quickly hid inside a barrel as I heard footsteps approaching.

"Boss told us to bring more booze upstairs" I heard gruff voices. "Blackbeard wants to celebrate before we arrive at Drum Village."

I couldn't see clearly, but don't tell me... I was on the ship with the dangerous Blackbeard pirates that were about to attack Drum Village?

For a few hours I didn't dare to move until it seemed the crewmembers were asleep, but soon my stomach began to grumble. Sliding the lid to the barrel I carefully slipped out to find some food. Perhaps this crate has food? In the darkness my fingers brushed against an object that looked like a fruit, so I quickly gobbled it down.

Tiptoeing ever so carefully I managed to get onto the deck near the lifeboats. My goodness these were all the ships the Blackbeard pirates had.

"Who's there?!" a light suddenly shined.

Stumbling back in surprise, I knocked down one of the lifeboats into the water. Without thinking I jumped into it and started paddling towards Drum Village.

Behind me I heard noises as the ship began to arouse, apparently planning on attacking the village in advance.

Stifling my screams, I tried dodging projectiles and winced as a object hit my arm. Miraculously the boat bumped into a hard surface, indicating that I had landed.

"Are you lost girl?" a big man held a lantern towards me.

"H-Help pirates are about to attack... Blackbeard!" I exclaimed before passing out from exhaustion.

"You've come too?" a friendly voice asked. I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in a warm bed lit next to a fire.

"Take it easy, you still have injuries." the woman next to me told me.

"W-Where am I?" I wondered.

"This is the Drum Village dear, don't worry you're safe" she replied, before the door opened and a big surly man entered.

"Y-You're the man I met yesterday!" I gasped.

"This is Dalton, he brought you in yesterday." the woman explained.

"Thank you for saving me" I said, and Dalton nodded in response. "Ah that's right, is the village alright?!" I asked in concern.

"Thanks to your warning, I was able to evacuate the citizens before the Blackbeard pirates attacked." Dalton said. "But the question that remains is, are you a pirate?" Dalton asked with a serious scary expression.

"No not at all" I shook my hands. "Never been out to sea before"

"If that's the case, then does this belong to you?" he held out a poster of a sketch of a necklace. It was shimmering silver with the letters Aalayah.
