(A/N: part of this is about Amy's name so I can't really change it sorry, just pretend your names Amy or something.)
2) Punk Rock?
"Calum!" Amy yelled from her seat on the couch, slightly mad.
Despite her angry tone, (which had brought Calum in quicker) when he saw her, face in computer screen, lips in a pout, he couldn't help but smile.
She was adorable, eyebrows turned down, arms crossed like a five year old.
"What's up May?" Calum asked, sitting down beside her, taking small glances at the screen, not-so-slyly.
-
May had been a nickname since the day they'd met, opening day of the university both them had wanted to go to, well, their parents had wanted them to go to, the two were paired up to do a small "audience involved" science experiment to show the people some of the things the students would learn if they took science.
Calum was never one for small talk but when his eyes landed on Amy, small talk was the best he could try.
The two left the experiment soon after Amy almost poured salt instead of sugar into the mix, Calum had laughed sweetly with her and asked for her name.
"Do you have a nickname, Amy?" He'd asked, when she shook her head he had smiled, "I take that as a challenge."
Giggling away, the two had passed multiple example stalls, ditching both of their parents, and were talking animatedly about music when Calum interrupted himself.
"May!" He's grinned, "Amy is an anagram for May, and it's May the First!" Thinking greatly of himself for the nickname, Amy smirked and elbowed him softly in the side.
"Don't get too cocky there, smarty pants."
He'd simply poke his tongue out and rest his arm around her shoulder.
Amy didn't mind, the boy was handsome, sweet, kind. All she was looking for, and he liked Panic! At The Disco.
-
After noticing the blue layout of Twitter, Calum frowned, "Babe, you shouldn't listen to them, they're just jealou-"
Amy interrupted him, "I'm not sad about the hate! They said I'm not punk rock!"
Calum paused for a moment before a big smile covered his face, "You're a dork and I love you!"
Amy smiled at that, "I love you too Cal, but I'm punk rock and I'm gonna prove it!"
Calum just giggled as Amy stood up, in her black and pink hello kitty sweatshirt.
-
After changing into the punkest clothes Amy had, which included; Calums band bracelets, an oversized Drop Dead t-shirt (also Calums), a pair of ripped black tights, black studded combat boots, and of course the leather jacket, Amy stumbled out the door, waving a small goodbye to Cal, smiling at him as he looked up from making his toast, he simply shook his head and smiled, "Oh Amy."
-
"Okay..." Amy mumbled, "Where to first?"
Hours later, two new tattoos, hair dyed, one eyebrow bar and nose ring, another piercing on each ear and a bright smile, Amy walked through the door of her and Calum's apartment.
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit." Amy mumbled realising what she'd just done.
Biting her fist she swore multiple times, pulling on her newly dyed hair, enough to (again) bring Calum out of the "office room" which was used for his music.
His eyes took in the sight in front of him, it was Amy, leather jacket in her arms, hands running through her hair, feet pacing along the kitchen tiles.
It was Amy, except her dirty blonde hair had been replaced to lilac, it was Amy except her cute wee nose had a ring and her sharp eyebrows had an eyebrow bar, it was Amy in the way she walked and swore, but it was even more of Amy when Calum noticed the tattoos.
"May" and "Just Live" with birds flying away on her arm and her wrist. it was so Amy that Calum couldn't help but stare in awe.
All Calum had ever wanted from Amy was for her to show more of herself, more of her beauty.
He hoped that all of this wasn't just for the fans, he knew that all of this wasn't just what the fans said, all of this wasn't just for him.
She walked out the door thinking that, but she really just needed to express herself in a new way.
Tattoos and piercings, a public enemy? No.
If you saw Amy on the street you'd smile, she'd undoubtedly wave at you, or say "hello!" in her soft voice that made anyone melt atleast a little.
She'd smile and dress her floral dresses and nobody would judge her, she wasn't a punk with a cold heart, she was a human expressing herself, with the biggest and warmest heart you'd ever seen.
Calum loved her before, and Calum loved her after.
"May, love, I know you think you regret it, but you shouldn't. I think you looked beautiful before, and beautiful now." Calums soft voice shocked Amy as she stopped pacing.
"I-I know, thank you." She smiled softly, she knew this was what she wanted, she wasn't that strong, the moment the tattoo pen went on her skin she'd already made her decision, she didn't need all of this to make people love her, she wanted this for herself. To express herself.
Hugging her tightly, sure not to bump the tattoo's, calum smiled.
Her hair was so pretty, she looked like she was living more, Calum loved it.
"I can't wait to see more sides of Amy. I love you no matter what." Calum mumbled into her shoulder.
"I'll love no matter what." Amy smiled sinking into Calums arms.
No matter what.
