Days turned into years. Jiho tortured them daily, but in return, he got nothing. As for Dang-mi, his obsession grew stronger. He kept visiting Taehyung, demanding the dragon's whereabouts to serve his own needs. Eventually, Jiho realised Taehyung was telling the truth, so today he decided to release him—until...

Dang-mi: “Appa, why are you releasing Taehyung?” Jiho gritted his teeth.

Jiho: “Because that useless boy isn't what I thought he was, so I’m releasing him.”

Dang-mi: “But—he—” Jiho cut him off.

Jiho: “Don’t argue with me. I’m the king here. Now get out!” he shouted.

Dang-mi gritted his teeth, then slowly turned to leave. But his eyes fell on a sword. He gripped it tightly and suddenly stabbed Jiho in the stomach. Jiho stared at his son, hissing in pain.

But Dang-mi only smirked wider, stabbing Jiho again and again as the king screamed. He didn’t stop until the screaming ended. Then Dang-mi looked at his father's bloodied body and shook his head.

Dang-mi: “Rest in peace, Father. Now I can be the King of Ulsan.” And he left the spot.

As days passed, Dang-mi took the king’s position and started sleeping with every woman around, imagining it was Taehyung. Miso, Mingu, Taehoo, and Hari were still in the cell, visited by him once a month. And Taehyung remained locked up, full of stress and worry for Jungkook. He never even thought of escaping. Slowly, days became months, months became years—ten years passed.

Present••

The others were listening to their parents speak about the past. Taehyung was hugging his parents, while his brothers finally received the answers they’d been seeking. Jin, Jimin, and Lisa looked at them with pure, loving stares. Miso and Mingu were overwhelmed with joy to see everyone together after so many years. As for Jungkook, he now knew every precious moment of his past, and was finally happy to have found his family.

Yoongi looked at his little bear, who looked just like a baby to them.

Mingu: “Aww! Our little one grew up so cute and beautiful as always,” he said, trying to lighten the mood. Taehyung blushed.

Jungkook: “Of course, because he was born beautiful and cute. No one can deny that fact. Anyone?” Everyone shook their heads.

They: “No one can deny it! He’s born beautiful!” they shouted with wide smiles. Taehyung hit Jungkook’s shoulder and buried his face in his chest to hide his red cheeks. Jungkook chuckled at his precious, adorable behaviour.

The whole family smiled at them, admiring how cute they looked.

Tae: “Kookie, I’m hungry,” he said with a pout. The family cooed at him.

Kook: “Omo! Really? Then let’s go fill your tummy, my precious.” He kissed Taehyung’s forehead, who nodded softly.

Yoongi: “What do you want to eat, bear? Hyung will make it for you,” he said with a gummy smile.

Taehyung and the others could see the love in Yoongi’s eyes—he was desperate to cook for his little brother. Taehyung smiled brightly.

Tae: “Hyungie… umm… I want tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice with less spice. Can you do that for me, hyung?” he asked cutely. Yoongi’s heart burst with joy, and he smiled wide, nodding. But Namjoon and Hobi playfully pushed Yoongi aside and stood in front of Taehyung.

Nam/Hobi: “I’ll cook for you too, bear,” they said in unison. Yoongi glared at them, but they didn’t care. The others burst into laughter.

Tae: “Really, hyungs? Okay, then—Yoongi hyung will make the tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice, Namjoon hyung will make the strawberry milkshake, and Hobi hyung will make the fruit salad. How’s that?” The three brothers nodded and quickly went to the kitchen, leaving Taehyung overwhelmed and floating in his brothers’ love.

JK: “What about me? No one’s making food for m—” He was cut off.

Jin/Jimin/Lisa: “We’re here for you, Kook.”

Jin: “What do you want to eat, Kook? Tell us—we’ll cook it real quick,” he smiled.

JK: “Really?! Okay, then I want kimchi fried rice and gimbap with my favourite banana milk.”

Lisa: “Okay, Kook. We’ll cook for you. Don’t say things like that—you’re our little brother, right, oppa?” she asked.

Jimin: “Yes, Lisa’s right. You’re our little brother. We’re leaving for now and will be back with food soon.” They smiled and left. Jungkook felt overwhelmed—he knew how Jin, Jimin, and Lisa had cared for him since he was sixteen and still did. Taehyung and the others watched the bond with soft smiles on their faces.
