Days were passing. Now Mingu brought the egg—today marked three days less than a week. Still, the eggshell hadn’t broken, and they were eager to see what was inside.

Miso and Mingu sat in the living room in front of the egg when suddenly Miso yelped in pain. Mingu understood and called the royal doctor, who took Miso inside while Mingu waited on the couch.

After a few minutes, he heard two sounds—his baby crying and the sound of something breaking. He turned around and saw the egg’s shell crack slightly. It continued breaking, revealing something bushy and white with visible wings, shocking him.

It was a white dragon. As he approached the egg, he saw a tiny dragon sleeping. He gently picked it up and wrapped it in a cloth. Suddenly, he heard—

Doctor: “Your Majesty, the Queen has given birth to a prince. He is very energetic. You may see her now.” She left when Mingu nodded and dismissed her.

Mingu entered the room, hearing the baby's loud cries—only for them to stop the moment he stepped in. Both Miso and Mingu were happy, thinking their son stopped crying because his father entered—but in truth, he stopped because of the white baby in Mingu’s arms...

Mingu: “Miso... d-did you see this? This little one... i-is a white dragon.” Miso’s eyes widened.

Miso: “A d-dragon?” Mingu nodded.

Mingu: “Look here. But he—or she—is still sleeping.” He placed it on the bed. Miso saw the little dragon, who looked so cute. They began discussing how to feed it.

The newborn baby, Kook, jerked his hand onto the dragon’s wing. The dragon opened its ocean-blue eyes. They heard a groan and saw their son clutching the dragon’s wing gently. The dragon stared at the little human. Miso gasped.

Miso: “Min, did you see this? What’s happening?”
She spoke with worry.

Mingu: “I’ll find out, but don’t worry. No matter what, we must take care of this little one.”
She nodded.

Mingu then took the dragon in his arms and left to arrange a new place for it.

Days passed, but there was no information. The white dragon had grown a little bigger and more aggressive, never allowing anyone near—except Miso and Mingu, who could only leave food near him.

Now the white dragon and the little prince Jungkook were one year old. Yes, Miso and Mingu had named the prince Jungkook.

Today, Jungkook, Miso, and Mingu were on their way to a royal meeting. Jungkook was in his mother’s arms but began wiggling. Miso, confused, placed him down, and Jungkook crawled toward the room where the white dragon stayed. Miso tried to stop him.

But Jungkook quickly entered. Miso and Mingu followed and saw Jungkook stop in front of the dragon. He tried to stand but fell. The dragon approached him slowly.

Jungkook used the dragon’s face to steady himself and stood. Then, he removed his tiny hands from the dragon’s face and wrapped them around the dragon’s waist. The dragon snuggled into Jungkook’s chest, and Jungkook let out a cute giggle.

Miso and Mingu stood in shock. The white dragon had never allowed anyone near, unleashing flames if anyone dared—but now their one-and-a-half-year-old son had his arms around the dragon, who nestled into his chest.

Mingu considered visiting his village, where his father still lived. He was confused but couldn’t stop cooing at the scene with Miso.

Jungkook ruffled the dragon’s hair gently, only to be interrupted by the guards reminding them of the royal meeting. They left the room.

Mingu informed his grandfather, who offered no help. He only advised Mingu to protect the dragon. In return, Mingu declared the dragon was also his son.

Years passed in a blink. Mingu and Miso watched Jungkook and his dragon’s bond grow. They even slept in Jungkook’s room. Jungkook was fiercely possessive of his “precious.” Yes, he called the dragon precious, and no one else was allowed to call him that.

Mingu knew what his son was going to do in the future. Did he say anything? No. On their seventh birthday, Prince Jeon Jungkook named his precious Jeon Taehyung.

Mingu was certain of one thing—his whipped son had already given his surname to a dragon. Yet he continued searching for information about Taehyung.

Jungkook was always with Taehyung and had started teaching him.

As the years flew, Jeon Mingu and Jeon Miso formed a bond with Jeon Taehyung. They adored the dragon’s shy blush and always cooed at him. Now Jeon Jungkook and his precious were 15 and would soon turn 16.

King Mingu and Queen Miso knew the two were in love—deeply and equally. They had no objections because their son’s happiness came only when he was with his precious, Jeon Taehyung.
