S.S. Tipton
Alex Russo looked around Zack's cabin. She had apparated into the room to find it not just unbelievably messy but also plainly disgusting. After a lot of grease-work from Alex, the room was now spotlessly clean and smelled pleasant. All she had to do now was wake up Zack.
She glanced over to Zack. He was drooling in his sleep, he had a serious case of pillow hair, and was clinging to the bedsheets like it was lifeline. Despite all that, Alex thought Zack looked hot.
Alex sat down on the bed and saw that Zack was murmuring in his sleep. Alex leaned in to hear what he was saying and heard him murmur anxiously, "No, Alex, please don't leave me again."
Seeing the tear stream down his face broke her heart, and her vision blurred due to the tears. After composing herself, Alex leaned in close and whispered to Zack, "Time to wake up, Zack."
Zack just continued muttering in his sleep. "No, I don't want to get up. Let me sleep." he said.
Alex tried everything: pinching him, pulling his hair, pulling his blankets off the bed, opening the windows to let in the light, playing music as loud as she could, wafting the scent of food near him, and simply screaming at him, in vain, as Zack remained sound asleep.
Bailey and Cody walked in; arms intertwined and laughing. Alex felt happy for Cody: he had struggled with relationships in the past, but now, he seemed genuinely and purely happy in his relationship with Bailey. Alex wished them both nothing but happiness.
Alex smiled at him warmly. "Happy sweet sixteenth birthday, Cody." she congratulated him.
"Thanks, Alex." Cody said. "So, what seems to be the problem?" he asked her curiously.
"Why do you think that there's a problem to be solved?" Alex asked him calmly.
"Because your eyes look like they're about to shoot lasers." Cody told her.
Alex gave a disappointed sigh. "I can't seem to wake Zack up." she said, gesturing towards him.
Cody smiled. He looked at Alex and Bailey and said, "Watch and learn, girls." Cody told them.
Cody approached Zack, sat down next to him on the bed and whispered in his ear, "Zack, Mum and Dad are going to be on the ship and Mr. Moseby is telling them everything that you did."
Zack snapped awake and looked around wildly. "NOOOOO!" Zack screamed and fell off the bed.
Bailey and Alex laughed at this sight. Zack looked fearfully at Cody. "Is that true?" he asked him.
"No! We were just trying to wake you up." Cody said. "At Alex's request." he added truthfully.
Zack glared at Alex sulkily but melted when she kissed him. "Happy Birthday, Zack." she said.
He smiled at her. "Thank you, Alex." Zack looked at Cody and said, "Happy Birthday, Cody."
Cody smiled back at his brother. "Happy Birthday, Zack." he said. "Now get ready quickly."
Alex looked at Bailey and Cody. "Don't worry, I'll make sure he looks his best." she said.
The couple laughed. "Don't peel the orange, guys. Be quick." Cody said and left with Bailey.
Zack blushed at Cody's words. Alex was confused. "What did Cody mean by 'peel the orange'?"
Zack blushed even more. "That thing you told me to wait to do until we both turn 16." he said.
Alex finally realized and blushed. "Oh." she said. She then glared at him. "You don't want to be late on your own birthday. Get ready." she told him and walked to the door. As she opened it, she turned and saw Zack blow her a kiss. She smiled at him and closed the door behind her.
