3's eyes were wide open as he looked around for 4. When he noticed nothing out of the ordinary, he buried his face in his hands and started to cry. "I-I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!" 3 let the words slip from his mouth as he sobbed. Then, when all that could be heard was 3's crying, laughter could be heard in the distance. 3 stopped crying and ucovered his face. "W-what...?" 3 managed to say. The laughter stopped and that's when 3 got curious and got out of bed. "Is... is anyone there?" 3 muttered under his breath. Suddenly, 3 got pushed to the floor and hit the ground with a loud thud. "OW! SON OF A-" 3 was cut off by more laughter. The laughter was now recognizable. Just as 3 got up, he felt a hand touch his shoulder. "Guess who~?" A glowing figure cooed. It was obvious who it was, but 3 dared not to turn around.

"Turn around...~" 4 said, just barely above a whisper. 3 took a deep breath and quickly turned around with his eyes shut tightly. 4 laughed right in 3's face. "C'mon... don't tell me you're scared...~" 4 taunted. 3 clenched his fists and squinted his eyes open. "W-well... to be fair... you're supposed to be dead." 3 mumbled. 4 felt a rage ignite inside him as he heard those words come out of 3's mouth. "OH? Last I checked I was SUPPOSED to be alive! Oh... you put that to an end, hm?" 3 flinched at 4's angry words, his face showing a sign of pure regret and guilt.
4 noticed the look on 3's face and calmed down a little bit. "Ugh... you are so pathetic, not to mention selfish. I bet you killed me so you could prove to yourself you were worth something special. I'm not saying you aren't, in fact, I thought you were pretty special... well, that is until YOU KILLED ME." 4 said, his voice rising after each word. 3 sighed, shaking violently. "So... this isn't a dream...? You're really here?" 3 said, his voice barely a whisper. 4 glared at 3 for a moment for giving a smart ass remark. "No. I'm just a figment of your imagination. Of course I'm really here, dipshit!" 3 flinched again at 4's harsh tone. "Why are you... here?" 3 asked. 4 just shrugged at 3's question. "Beats me. I don't even know how I got here. Though, when I did, I thought I'd see how my murderer was doing. Must be living the dream without your enemy, huh?" 3 was speechless for a moment. He didn't know what to say. Tears threatened to show themselves as 3 decided what to say next.
"I- I..." 3 was completely out of things to say. 4 seemed irritated at 3's struggling. "Well, since you're having such a good damn time, I'm gonna see how the others are holding up. They must be upset that I'm gone." 4 said, feeling genuine pain for his friends. 3 wanted to tell 4 that he never told the others about what happened, but he decided not to. As 4 started to float away, 3 got scared. He didn't want 4 to leave, not when he just revealed to be somewhat present. "N-no! Don't go! Please..." 3 begged, falling to his knees and finally letting those tears slip out.

4 raised an eyebrow at 3's desperate begging. "Are you trying to make me feel sorry for you?" 4 said, turning to face 3. 3 fell silent. What was he thinking? Did he actually care that 4 was gone? "I... no. I just... I'm sorry." 3 whispered, looking at the ground as he got up. 4 crossed his arms and laughed. "Hahaha! Wow! I never thought I'd hear the almighty SMG3 apologize." 4 said, putting his hand over his mouth and snickering. 3 couldn't even get angry. He knew SMG4 was hiding some of his rage. "Look... I really am-" 3 got cut off by 4. "Sorry? Shut up. Thanks to you, I can't do much besides float around and watch everyone. I'm going to make sure you pay for your mistake. You think a sorry is gonna fix everything!? Think again!" 4 yells angrily, going through a wall and disappearing from sight.
3 stood there in shock. He didn't think 4 was the type to be vengeful, but then again, 3 did kill 4 for a stupid reason. 3 blamed himself enough as is. There had to be a way to bring 4 back... right? 3 made a silent vow that he would do everything in his power to try and do the impossible. Bring someone back from the dead.

For now... 3 decided to get back in his bed and get some well needed rest. After all, he had a big day newly planned for himself. He had to get 4 back. No matter what. He couldn't tell the others either. He just couldn't. Little did he know... a certain plumber in red would find out 3's little secret.
