"How's my beautiful mommy?"

Barbara didn't react and continued with what she's doing. He moved closer to her and kissed her cheek.

"Mommy, are you still mad at me?"

"What do you think, Carlos?"

"Hmmm, what do I think? I know you so hindi mo ako titiisin because I'm your favorite son, right?" she rolled her eyes at him. Chuckling, he caressed her arms and rested them on her shoulders. "Mommy, wag ka na magalit sa'kin. Pinakasalan ko si Ina kasi mahal ko sya not because nabuntis sya, alam mo naman yun di ba?"

"So irresponsible, Carl!"

"How? I did marry the woman I love." she shook her head. "Bakit ka po ba nagagalit?"

"Because you repeated what you did with Georgia."

"I love Ina."

"And because you always that thing of yours to lure women to marry you."

"WHAT!? I did not. Ina loves me."

"You forced her to have sex with you."

"Mommy, please stop saying that. Pag may nakarinig sa'yo baka isipin ng iba I raped my wife which I did not!"

"I'm so disappointed at you, Carl!"

She removed his hands on her shoulder and stood up.

"Mommy." he lets out a depressing sigh. "I hate that your mad at me, and I don't know how else to say I'm sorry..... I'm sorry that we did it before our wedding but we both agreed to do it that time. Hindi ko sya pinilit...." He sighed again. "Look, mommy. Magkakaapo na po kayo. Another Valencia. He's my son and not a bastard."

"Why did you keep it a secret, Carl?"

"We were not ready to tell it to anyone."

"Even to us? We are your family."

"I don't know if you will understand this pero gusto lang namin ni Ina sa amin muna. Yun wala munang nakakaalam. To be honest, mommy, I don't regret it. Masaya ako nun kaming dalawa ni Ina lang may alam." He paused for a second and then continues. "But I'm happier now that you all know. Mommy, it is not my intention to keep it a secret, okay? Please, don't be mad at me anymore."

She sighed.

"Please? Ina feels bad that you and I are not talking. If Ina feels bad, our son will feel it too and it's not good to our son and to Ina. You know that, mommy."

"Are you trying to make me feel guilty?"

"Well." He grinned.

She shook her head and smiled. "I don't know where you get it siguro sa abuelo mo. You really know your way to a woman's heart."

Smiling, "So, you're no longer mad at me?"

"Sige na, hindi na. But I want to be more hands on with my grandson, okay?"

"Sure! But Ina's mom is already living at our house."

"Really?"

"Yes! She's there to help Ina with her needs."

"I see." she paused and then spoke. "I want to help too."

Chuckling softly. "How? You're so busy. Hmmm, but you can visit Ina anytime."

"Yes! I wanna do that."

"Okay, she'll be happy to see you."

"I am too. Tell her I'll visit her tomorrow."

"Mommy, remember this weekend is your thing with Ina. Did you forget?"

"Of course not!"

"So?"
