A Promise

The light was small, round and was bubbly like fire. It was warm, a gentle warmth I had grown to love. It was always happy and would float around me. I never understood why- why such a bubbly light would be there with me. It was all so strange.

Every time I look back on it, I can still remember its faint laughter as they dragged me away into a field of flowers.

How I wish to meet them again in my dreams. Just once more. It has been so tiring lately.

Just some rest. That's all I need.

"Etherea to Russia Federation~" Russian Empire snapped his fingers inches away from the Russian face. His eyes widened slightly a bit before resuming an indifferent look. "My-my~ Someone has been daydreaming. Soviet must be putting a lot of stress on you lately."

"Mm." Russia replied with. He wasn't in the best shape for conversations with his grandfather at the moment.

"Well let me just borrow for some time and then you may be off to your chambers. We will be leaving first thing in the morning. Oh! And as you should know, Albion is quite far from here, so we will be traveling on both land and ocean." The Russian Empire explained as he made a turn to the left. "I would love to have us go by air but alas, the weather near the borders have not been so blissful lately. What a tragedy." He said musingly.

The Russian Empire and Russia share many similar features such as the same flag design. The Russian Empire, when he ruled, was of three colors, black, yellow and white horizontal. But since he stepped down as ruler, he changed it back to white, blue and red. Only difference was he wore an eye-patch while Russia didn't. It carries quite a history that only few have heard of within Tsarovia walls. And let us not mention the height difference either. The Russian Empire was both taller than his son and grandson. He ranged around 2.28 meters (7.6 feet) while Russia's father was 2.24 meters (7.4 feet) . If you thought he was the tallest now, then you would definitely be calling him the shortest when right next to the two. They were among the few tallest in their ruling times- even now! Truly beasts of their own worthy ranks.

"This way child~" He strolled down another path. His guidance was light and free, taking each turn and each step with familiarity and confidence.

In truth, since his leaving, the Tsarovia castle has not changed one bit- aside from the wallpapers and office rooms as well the expanded chambers for each sibling under Soviet Union- nothing else has changed. The paths were all the same, the servants, guards, and etcetera- have not been moved or replaced one bit.

"Here we are." He murmured once he caught sight of another set of gold doors. They were smaller than that of the grand halls to represent little significance in comparison.

They were quite familiar to the Russian.

"The tailor's chambers? What are we doing here, grandfather?" He asked whilst the Russian Empire propped opened the doors just before turning his head to his grandson.

"To get you a set of clothes ready of course!"

Russia's face remained aloof with the only detection of confusion from a blink. Russian Empire eyes rolled with an amused expression. "Come now, you didn't think I would let you show up in your royal status uniform. Too old fashioned and you would make us look like we are there for some great importance." He opened the doors all the way and entered the tailor's quarters.

The room was of trim velvet, azure wallpapers and pure gold pillars. The room was both small and large- featuring many fabrics from the finest silk to the thickest of wools and much more. They were neatly placed all around the place which created a maze to wander in, but the path was simple and spacious. The narrow path they walked on was a thin gold carpet- passing the hanging and folded fabrics with measuring tapes left behind on each rack.
