Wakanda's armies lined up across the border line. Layla took a deep breath looking at the large army of warriors preparing for battle. Layla was never one to work in a team, but this is different. This is for the whole world. Bucky looked over at Layla. He saw her taking deep breathes as they prepared for what is to come. He wants to comfort her, but he knows that wouldn't end well. She doesn't want his comfort. The closest they've ever been was shaking hands and her wiping his tears away when the Winter Soldier was taken out of his mind. Layla would never want him even as a friend.

"How we looking, Bruce?" Natasha says on comms.

"Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it!" Bruce called. He ran down the field shaking the ground with his Hulk-buster Tony made. He uses the thrusters to launch himself over a floating platform filled with Wakandans, "Woah, this is amazing, man! It's like being the Hulk without actually-" He trips over a rock sending him into the dirt.

"Hah, idiot," Layla snickers.

"I heard that, Layla!" Bruce yells, which only makes her laugh more.

Bucky smiles at her sudden happiness. They arrived at the barrier.

"I've got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line," Rhodey called out over comms.

"It's about time I got to fight someone," Layla grumbled, pulling one of her longer daggers out of her belt, "Just making sure we're fighting to kill, correct?"

"It would be preferred," Natasha replied, running up to Layla's side.

"Oh, goodie," Layla smirks. Layla watched as two alien looking beings stepped out of the forest on the other side of the barrier. They were large and tall, had almost zero human features.

What the fuck. Layla mouthed.

She watched as Steve, Nat, and T'Challa walked over to the aliens to speak with them. Layla studied the features of the creatures. Trying to figure out their weaknesses. They seemed strong, but weak at the legs. It looked like they relied on weapons to get the job done. Steve, Nat, and T'Challa returned to their line of warriors.

"They surrender?" Bucky asks Steve.

"Not exactly," Steve replied, staring down the ships rising from the ground. The ships contained creatures that were indescribable. And not in a good way. They had multiple arms and weird jaws that sent shivers down Layla's back. They ran across the ground like wild dogs.

The alien creatures broke the tree line. Hurling themselves to the barrier, their limbs getting chopped off by the powerful border.

"What the hell?" Bucky whispered.

"Looks like we pissed her off," Nat commented. Layla cocked a brow and gave her a sassy look hopefully saying 'we?'.

"They're killing themselves," Okoye whispered. The creatures kept hurling themselves at the barrier. It was like they had no brain. Probably because they don't. The barrier weakened letting some of them through. T'Challa commanded some warriors to fire blasts from the vibranium spears. Bucky shot them with his rifle, but the shots wouldn't penetrate the skin. Layla didn't know what to do. She didn't have a gun to fire at the creatures and she sure as hell wouldn't throw her only daggers, potentially loosing them.

T'Challa stepped forward commanding Shuri to open the barrier letting the creatures through. Layla looked at him with fear in her eyes. He called out in Xhosa, unsheathing his vibranuim claws.

"Wakanda forever!" He yelled, the armies ran forwards to the creatures as the barrier opened. Layla stayed back as Steve and T'Challa used their speed advantage. She ran forward. Her vibranuim daggers shining in the sunlight.
