I stand up with a cough before removing the claw from my abdomen and hurling it towards the harpy that stabbed me, piercing its head. Looking down at my wound, everything becomes slightly muffled and my ears are ringing, as if I'm in a daze.

I tap my temples a bit before regaining all my senses. Then, without wasting anymore time, I run upto Jason Grace and land a sidekick on a Minotaur that he was fighting. I turn to look at him, a grin plastered on my face while a look of shock was planted on his.

"You're bleeding!"

"Wow." I speak in a sarcastic tone. "Thanks, Captain Obvious."

Jason rolls his eyes at my comment and strikes down an empousa with lighting. Meanwhile, Percy Jackson, who is currently brawling against a chimera calls out to me.

"Eric! Now might be a really good time to get axe of yours!" He says as Nico shadow travels from the sky, stabbing the chimera with his Iron Stygian sword and causing the beast to crumble into dust.

"Couldn't say more." My grin grows wider as I stand a couple yards in front of a giant mutated Minotaur that slowly begins to walk towards me. I reach my hand out horizontally as the beast gets closer, slowly but surely and menacingly.

Jason draws out his gladius and gets into a defensive stance as he watches form the side. "Eric, what are you doing?"

"Any minute now..." I say with unwavering fear as I look up at the Minotaur who won't take that long to perform and MMA move. And just on cue, Stormbreaker flies to my hand, blue sparks travelling from the handle to the blades. I smirk and set it down on the ground and drag the blades across the dirt.

Except there's one problem.

The blades don't drag across the dirt. Looking down at Stormbreaker, I raise an eyebrow.

"What?"

The bloody axe is lodged inside the ground. Widening my eyes, I tighten the grip on the handle as the Minotaur begins to pick up speed and rush towards me. I look back and forth at the bull on steroids (a term I picked up from the Greeks) and back down at my weapon that doesn't even bother to budge.

"Aw sh—"

My body lands a few meters away with a thud and as I roll onto my side with blurry vision, the voices of my friends fade away as they make their way towards me.
