The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the Starrful Pack’s grand palace. Its towering stone walls and elegant courtyards reflected the pack’s centuries-old heritage. Today, the palace was abuzz with excitement and tension. The Royal Couple of the Night Walker Pack was set to arrive—an event that could shape the future of both packs in the face of the looming vampire war.

Prince Jungkook stood by the window of his chamber, staring out at the gathering soldiers below. His eyes, deep and dark like the night sky, flickered with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. His beauty was often whispered about within the pack. He had an ethereal presence that seemed almost unreal—his skin, flawless and fair, glowed under the dim light. His long, raven-black hair was tied into a simple braid that cascaded down his back, but even in its simplicity, it framed his delicate features perfectly.

Jungkook’s face was partially concealed behind a finely embroidered silk veil, a mark of his unmarked omega status. The veil, a pale ivory color that matched his flowing hanfu, hid the lower half of his face, leaving only his captivating eyes visible to those around him. Despite the veil, the allure of his beauty was undeniable, and it often drew stares from alphas and betas alike.

Beside him, Princess Hana adjusted her own veil, the same traditional covering that all unmarked omegas were required to wear in public. Her hanfu was bright and sharp, just like her personality, and though she shared her brother’s status, her beauty was fiercer, more intense.

"Are you ready, brother?" Hana asked, her voice laced with impatience.

Jungkook glanced at her, his calm demeanor a contrast to her fiery energy. "As ready as I’ll ever be."

Hana let out a soft scoff, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You always act so composed. But don’t forget, this meeting is everything. Father and Mother expect us to make a good impression."

"I haven’t forgotten," Jungkook replied softly, though the weight of his responsibilities pressed heavily on him. His eyes returned to the window, where preparations were being finalized for the royal guests.

Just then, the door opened, and Jimin, Jungkook’s personal bodyguard, stepped into the room. Dressed in traditional warrior attire, Jimin exuded strength and loyalty. His sharp features and piercing eyes softened only when they looked at Jungkook. Jimin had been at Jungkook’s side for as long as the prince could remember, always guarding him, always protecting him.

"Your Highness," Jimin said with a respectful bow. "The royal guests are approaching. Your presence is required in the grand hall."

Jungkook nodded, feeling a flicker of comfort in Jimin’s presence. The bond they shared went beyond that of a prince and his bodyguard, though Jungkook had never spoken of the feelings he harbored for Jimin. He knew his duty, and he knew the boundaries that came with it.

The three of them—Jungkook, Hana, and Jimin—made their way down the long corridors of the palace, the soft sound of their footsteps echoing off the stone floors. They were soon joined by their parents, the King and Queen of the Starrful Pack. The King, a towering figure with graying hair, commanded respect with every step, while the Queen, graceful and poised, exuded quiet authority.

"Remember," the King said, his voice low but firm, "this meeting is crucial. The Night Walker Pack’s strength will be needed in the coming war. Show respect, but do not appear weak."

Jungkook nodded again, though he couldn’t help but feel the pressure mounting. His face veil, though a small piece of fabric, felt like a heavy reminder of the expectations placed on him as the omega prince.

As they reached the grand entrance of the palace, the massive doors were opened by palace guards, revealing the gardens where the royal welcome had been prepared. Colorful banners displaying the Starrful Pack’s insignia fluttered in the breeze, and soldiers stood in perfect rows, awaiting the arrival of the Night Walker royals.

In the distance, the sound of approaching hooves echoed through the air. The royal procession of the Night Walker Pack was nearing. Jungkook’s heart raced as the grand carriage came into view, its intricate designs shimmering in the fading light.

The carriage came to a halt at the palace steps, and all eyes were on the figures who stepped out. King Namjoon, tall and imposing, exuded a quiet authority that seemed to silence everything around him. His gaze was sharp, observant, and it seemed as though he could see through the very walls of the palace.

Beside him stood Queen Seokjin, equally regal and commanding in his own right. Seokjin’s beauty was often spoken of across the land, rivaling even that of omegas. His face was smooth and flawless, with sharp cheekbones and an almost angelic glow that made him stand out in any room. Together, they were an awe-inspiring sight, the perfect embodiment of strength and unity.

The King of the Starrful Pack stepped forward, bowing respectfully. "Welcome, Your Majesty, Your Grace. We are honored to have you in our kingdom."

King Namjoon inclined his head slightly, his voice deep and resonant as he spoke. "The honor is ours. We look forward to discussing the matters that affect both our packs."

As the two royal families exchanged greetings, Jungkook kept his eyes lowered, mindful of his status. Still, he could feel the weight of Namjoon’s and Seokjin’s gazes on him. Even though his face was mostly hidden behind his veil, there was no escaping the fact that Jungkook’s beauty was striking, captivating those around him.

Jimin stood silently beside Jungkook, always alert, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of threat. Though the occasion was diplomatic, his duty was to protect Jungkook at all costs, and he never let his guard down.

As the formalities continued, Jungkook’s thoughts drifted. He knew the significance of this meeting, not just for the future of the Starrful Pack but for his own future as well. His role as the omega prince came with expectations—alliances to be made, responsibilities to be fulfilled. But beneath the layers of duty, the veil, and the silence, Jungkook longed for something more than just the path that had been laid out for him.

The sun had fully set by the time the procession moved into the palace for the banquet. The soft glow of lanterns illuminated the hall, and the air was thick with anticipation—not just for the upcoming discussions of war and alliances, but for the unseen forces that would soon shape the lives of everyone in the room.

Jungkook followed behind his family, his mind racing, but his expression calm. Behind his veil, hidden from the world, his true feelings remained concealed—at least for now.
