Back in England, the King had been taking extreme measures to get his colonies to listen to him. But each time, with every new law being pushed, it was always met with a push to rebellion.

Something that he didn't wish to happen. He was more powerful than France and Spain! It would be embarrassing to let the world know how he lost his colonies and poor militias to his redcoats.

"What makes you say that?" He heard one of his soldiers whisper to the other. He raised an eyebrow, curious about what they were chittering about.

The King stood up from his throne, gracefully making his way to his men, a pleasant smile on his face. He always wanted to make it seem like he was their friend.

"My dear subjects!" He said it a bit too loud, which caused the soldiers to immediately stand up straighter. "What conversation are we having today?" He specifically looked at the redcoat who had spoken first.

"Y-Your Majesty..." He stuttered. His face warmed up as he cleared his throat, embarrassed at how he had managed to make a fool of himself in front of the King. "We—we had gotten strange reports of creatures from the colonies."

"And?" He tapped his staff against his floor, wanting more information to be said. The King knew he was hiding something; he always knew.

"And... we are afraid that they might make it on one of our ships and successfully enter England." His friend nodded, too afraid to speak out.

The King only chuckled, clutching his staff in one hand. "I would never allow that to happen, my royal subjects. I care very greatly about my men." The last sentence was a 50/50 lie, but not one of them showed any reaction to it, so he continued. "If something were to happen, then I would immediately take action."

"What about the colonies?" The soldier was brave enough to ask; his body tensed as he waited for a punishment from the King.

"The colonies? Well, they are long gone." He made his way to a nearby window, gesturing his men to follow him, which they did. "They're on their own, my dear men. This rebellious side of theirs is getting out of hand."

He slammed his staff to the ground in a fit of rage. "What do they mean they want independence!?" He shouted, spit flying out of his mouth. The two redcoats only flinched at the sudden reaction.

By now he was only talking to himself, leaving his redcoats to stand there as they didn't want to make him even more frustrated.

Finally, he took a deep breath before exhaling out his mouth. His shoulders relaxed for once. "Now, where were we?" He asked, turning his head to face his men.

"That—that was all we had to say, your Majesty," said the redcoat. He noticed that his little friend had stepped much closer to the man, seemingly hiding behind him.

"Very well, I enjoyed this little conversation we had, yes? There mustn't be any worry about the colonies. They have gotten what they received; anymore of their little rebellions shall be put out immediately."

He was met with silence. A sigh escaped from his lips as he turned to face them. "What are you waiting for? Go!" And they scurried off like rats.

The King made his way back to his throne, sitting down on it with his legs crossed. "They were like children to me. They grow up very fast indeed. It has been weeks after the Townshend Act that they grew furious on."
