The 'angel' soared through the sky, making sure not to be seen by the colonists beneath them. His eyes scanned through the land before deciding to land on a nearby store.
With a snap of his fingers, the 'angel' took the form of a young man. He made sure to put a smile on his face, showing that he meant no harm as of now.
"I've never seen you around." A lady said, a skeptical look on her face. "And I know everyone who lives here. It's a small village, so, young man, who might you be?"
The 'angel' politely bowed. "You may call me Gabriel," softly spoke the 'angel.'
The lady felt her face heating up as she giggled. "Well, then, Gabriel." She said, embracing the man in a hug. "Welcome!"
Gabriel's eye twitched for a split second, awkwardly patting the lady on her back.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way." He pushed her, a bit too roughly.
But before he could take a single step, the lady called him. "Gabriel!" she cried. "Allow me to show you around."
By now she was getting on his nerves, but he had to suck it up and deal with it. "Why yes, of course, give me a tour around this... beautiful village you humans have made." He attempted to sound enthusiastic.
//WARNING: SUICIDE TOWARDS THE END. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.//
He had already grown tired of this. If only he could slice her throat in front of these people, showcasing his power.
Gabriel could imagine the blood oozing out as she gasped for air, falling to her knees as she begged for him to help her. After all, he was her savior, but not that she knew about it.
She was blindly following his orders without even knowing it. It sent a surge of pride up his spine.
"My Savior," she muttered, her skin pale as snow, her fingers clutched on a pistol.
"You humans must know your place." Said Gabriel, his hands resting behind his back as he watched the moon rise. "But you shouldn't worry a thing."
"Word shall be spread around these filthy colonies of someone coming to save them." He could practically see it. The image forming in his head.
"I will fool them," he said. "I will know their greatest fear." Gabriel turned his head to face the lady.
"You may commence." And he soon vanished.
The lady had never used a pistol in her entire life. She didn't even know where she got a hold of one. Images of a rotting corpse flashed through her eyes, a shriek escaping her mouth as she finally realized what had happened.
She had let her guard down, which was when the young man, Gabriel, had taken full advantage of the opening.
Her breathing quickened as he muttered prayers to God, wanting to be forgiven, and gained access to the pearly white gates.
Unbeknownst to her, she was praying to the wrong one. Her eyes widened as she felt a hand placed on top of hers, fingers wrapping around the handle of the gun.
"He's calling for you." The voice whispered.
"W-Who?"
"Gabriel."
Her mouth was forcefully opened as the muzzle of the pistol was forced into her mouth.
"He doesn't like waiting." It made its way in front of the lady.
The lady could only shake her head, silently pleading for her life to be spared. She didn't want to end it. If only she had enough time.
She pulled the trigger.
BANG!
The figure winced at the sudden sound. The figure watched as her body collapsed onto the ground, the pistol still in her grasp.
A shadow covered half of the figure's face; it's eyes were the only thing that was visible on the face.
