I was peacefully enjoying my soundless sleeping when my agitating, dickhead, ugly-ass brother slammed my door shut and then threw a pillow at my head, waking me up from my nap
"I fucking hate you with all my heart," I grumbled, throwing my blanket over my head as I rolled over, trying to fall back to sleep. "Why can't you wake someone else up? If you think I'm going to watch the sunset with you like healthy siblings, then you're fucking—"
"I kissed Sorrengail."
One minute, my eyes were closed while I tried to fall back asleep. The next minute, I was on the floor, struggling to untangle from my blanket.
"You kissed her?" I shouted, ripping the blanket off my head while sitting up, my hair in every direction while I gaped at my brother. He kissed Violet fucking Sorrengail!
Xaden ran a hand through his hair, pacing in front of my closed door. "I don't know what I was thinking."
"Clearly!" I scrambled to my feet, clutching my blanket to my chest as I started pacing beside my bed. "I swear you have nothing in that head of yours sometimes."
A hand slapped me on the back of the head, and I groaned, sending him a glare. "It wasn't my fault, Blaine," he grumbled.
"Let me guess, your mated dragons had something to do with it?" I rolled my eyes, throwing my blanket on my bed.
"Well, yeah," he admitted, and I halted in front of my desk, slowly facing him. "Tairn finally channeled with her, and she felt everything he was going through—including a night with Sgaely."
"Hold the fuck up." I widened my eyes, slumping back against my desk. "You're telling me I'll know when Nim and Chradh are fucking?"
"Yeah," he bluntly answered, sitting on the edge of my bed. "And when they do, you'll want to fuck the first person you see—just like she wanted to fuck Liam last night."
Truly, I tried my hardest, but I couldn't contain the laughter that bubbled out of me. "She tried to fuck Liam? Oh, this is gold! He would've cracked up about it."
"Blaine, this is serious," he muttered, throwing my clean tunic at me. "I kissed Sorrengail. My lips were on hers."
I rolled my eyes at his dramatics, picking my trousers off the floor. "So what? Everyone here has a new thing every second day. It's basically in the Codex. You're overreacting."
"Overreacting?" he spluttered, turning his back to me when I waved my hand to change. "You being so calm about this doesn't help me," he grumbled while I quickly changed into my uniform. "I came to you hoping you would growl at me or hit me—anything!"
"Shouldn't have said that," I hummed after changing and then slapped him on the back of the head. He groaned, facing back to me with a glare and I held up a hand. "You asked for it, so don't blame me," I warned him, walking over to my door where my boots were. "So, was it good?"
"Seriously, Blaine?" he muttered, and I sent him a curious look while slipping my boots on. He rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed with me. "I'm not telling you."
"Boring," I sighed. "But you really are a dickhead though. You're stuck with her for the rest of your careers. Lives, too. Have you talked about what happens after you graduate?"
"I feel like I should be asking you this shit." He stood up, throwing me my hairbrush that I just managed to catch. "I may have kissed Violet but you're sleeping with Garrick. What's going to happen if you two don't work out?"
I pointed my brush at him, narrowing my eyes. "You're deflecting, Xade. We're talking about you and Violet. Not me and Mr. Hunk."
"Mr—Nope." He threw his hands up, shoving me away from the door. "I'm leaving now. You're not helping at all."
