Gentle Twilight (Zayne)

I was in AKSO hospital when the Pharmacy Robot spoke up. "Confirming signature of pirmary care..... phsician. Verified."

"Your medicine is ready to be collected." The robot said, "medicine has been collected. Please use as directed by your physician. We wish you a speedy recovery."

"What do you need to recover from this time?" A voice said, i turn around and met Zayne's piercing gaze shining throuh his glasses.

"I thought you would be in another surgery at this hour?" I asked, Zayne seems to ignore my words and reaches out to take the medicine and prescription from me.

"Orthpedics?" He asked, "oh, um it's for my colleague." I said, as Zayne gaze's shifts between the medicine and me, i point at the patient's name written on the prescription. "See? Not me." I said,
"Also, if i were actually injuried, would i be standing here in one piece?"

"Your colleague is now seeing an orthpedist. It seems your work has been pushing hunters to thier limits." Zayne said, as he gave me the medicine and prescription back.

"You should aslo take care of yourself." He adds, "relax. I've been doing great these past few days." I said, that when i realize that he isn't wearing his doctor's coat.

"Are you getting off of work early today?" I asked, expressionless, he pointed to the clock behind me. "I'm getting off on time." He answers, "do you have any plans after work, Dr. Zayne?" I asked,

"If going home and waiting until 9:00 P.M. for a remote consultaion counts as a plan then yes." Zayne said, as he lower his head and pushed up his glasses, that's when i remember that i have to meet Tara up at a place near Zayne's home.

I giggled a bit as i moved closer to her. "You have a scheme, one which involves me. Is that right?" He asked, "i'm meeting up with Tara at a mall close to your place." I said, "if someone could, perhaps, offer me a ride, i'd be saved from the trouble of being late."

I smiled up at him. "I knew there would be a price to pay for leaving work on time." He said as he turn around and walks towards the elevator. "Let's go. I suppose a passenger can spare me from the boredom of rush hour."

As we drive, we unexpected incounter traffic jam. Zayne and i sat in silently in the car as we wait for the cars to him.

'....Traffic is slow. You will reach your destination in ten minutes.'

"At what time did you agree to meet up? Given out current circumstances, you might still end up being late." Zayne said, "we're doing a duo escape room at seven-thirty. As long as i show up with thirty minutes, we'll be fine." I said,

"A dou escape room?" Zayne asked confused, "yeah, it's a holographic escape room that's really popular. We'll go with the Wanderer War scenario. We won't leave until we beat the highest score!" I explained excitedly.

"Won't you feel as if you're working overtime?" Zayne asked, "nope. It'll be like traning...at best." I replied, "getting off work on time only to train is certainly something you'd do." He said,

"What i do is nothing compared to you reading research articles for fun on your days off." I said, as i trun my head slightly to him, but he remained focused on what's ahead instead of returning my gaze.

"I'll admit i spend most of my time either at work or at home, but i do go out to eat or visit the museums once in a while." Zayne said as he turn you me. "There is a witness sitting next to me."

It takes me a few second to remember the time i ran into Zayne at a museum.

"You yourself have admitted it happens once in a while. And i, your witness, have seen it happen every now and then." I said, as the crawls forward a bit and i looked out of the window again.
