Heartstring Healer (Zayne)

I arrive at the auidtorium lone before the lecture starts, making sure to sit at the end of the first row.

"Welcome, everyone." The host announce making everyone look at him and stay quite, "this is the fourth part of the lecture series Evol Medicine and application."

"Once again, our lecture is the Chief Surgoen of thr Division of Caradiac Surgery at Akso Hospital, Dr. Zayne. Dr. Zayne, the floor is yours." The host as everyone clapped including me.

Zayne walked up to the stage and adjusted the mic a bit before speaking, "today's topic is damage to the heart caused by Evol."

"Before outlining treatment methods, i would like to share a few case studies with you." He said in the mic, "the first one is an 8 year old patient who suffers from a congenital....."

Zayne turn to the PTT. When his gaze meets mine, he pauses, i smiled and waved at him while smiling nervously, ".....congenital atrial septal defect." He continued speaking,

After that, he didn't look at my direction again.

As Zayne speaks and explains the subject, i was starting at get a little bored, but still listen to him. But only the most parts.

As the topic goes on my deskmate suddendly spoke to me, "hey haven't seen you before. You aren't a med student, right?" He ask, "huh? Oh, i'm not...."

"Got it. You're here for Dr. Zayne, too." He ask, i glanced at Zayne who is still talking and look back at him then nodded, "is Zayne very popular around here?" I ask my deskmate. "Of course! The student lines up to give him gifts every and...."

The boy leans closer to me and whispered, "they also fight each other to invite him to different campus events. They shower him with praise. He's really popuplar!" He explained,

"Did he accept those inviration? Give me the tea!" I whisper yell at him, demanding an answer. "No, he turn all down." The boy answer and i let out a little sigh of relief, when i turn back at the stage i noticed Zayne looking at me.

I sat up straight and smiled nervously at him, he ignored me and continued his topic.

After his subject was over, Zayne got swarm by girls that were crowding him, but he managed to escape and disappeared.

I took out my phone and called him but he didn't answer me.

I was about to call him again when i heard a female student saying, "Dr. Zayne's temporary office is the first room around thr corner. Follow me!" She exclaimed it to her friend.

I hide behind the corner and listen to them talking. "Didn't he say last time he's not going to the dance?" Her friend ask, "what if he changed his mind? I want to try again. Even if he doesn't go, i want to give him a piece of cake." The girl said, i peek from the corner and saw that she is holding cake in her hand.

I suddenly felt anger and jealous rising up to me.

I started walking or more like speed walking to Zayne's office.

"I need to get to Zayne before...." i was cut off when the door next the me swang open and a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me into a dark room.

"What the...." I yelled but someone pinned me to the wall and covered my hand, "shh..." a familiar voice said that when i realized that it was Zayne hiding in his office.

I couldn't help it but i let out a small snort laugh through his hand, Zayne looked at me pleadingly and placed his finger on his lips telling me to be quite.

I nodded as i was smiling brightly under his hand as i placed my hand on top of his as i continued to laugh quitely, this is the first time i saw Zayne this scared, hiding from the girls, in his office.
