"Would you stop speeding," I scolded Mike as he swerved around cars, "do you want another ticket? We actually had to wait in town to pay the ticket last time."
"Stop being such pansy," he rolled his eyes but eased on the gas, "we're late and I want to see this guys face before he skips out on us."
"I just called him he's there if he wasn't he would have answered."
"Yeah and how do you know huh!" he took his hand off he wheel for half a second and started to swerve into the other lane, but his argument wasn't deterred, "are you buddies with him now. You know everything about him now."
"No, but I do know that phone trick he plays, six months of this with him it's kind of obvious."
"Well I'm sorry that I'm not as observant as you."
"Yeah I'm sorry too," I muttered.
"What?"
"Nothing."

When we got to Windsor I expected that Connor would make us go through thousands of tests to be able to actually talk to him, but it was actually kind of easy.
"I must say that I'm a bit disappointed I thought that it was going to be a little more secret spy kind of stuff," Mike sighed tapping his fingers on the dinner table smiling up at the waitress as she walked by.
"Who knows he may surprise us," I bit into my burger. I wasn't exactly worried about what would happen when we met Connor especially since Mike had made sure we were loaded up with almost every weapon in our arsenal he was determined not to make any mistakes.
A man sat at the table facing side was so we could only see his part of his face under his shaded baseball cap.
"Michael Vice and Eric Summer," the man said in a monotonous voice.
"Yeah are you Connor," Mike glared.
"No, this note is for you though."
"So what we're not gonna get to meet the mysterious Connor?" I was actually a bit surprised.
"Oh you will just not today," the man handed us the note and left. I expected that Mike would chase after him but he decided instead to read the note.
"Commonplace Hotel room 409," Mike rolled his eyes," do we really need to go through all this trouble just to get one demon."
"Alright so we don't get to meet him here we can meet him somewhere else some another time alright," I patted his back, "don't look so torn apart."
He didn't say anything for probably ten minutes which is probably the longest he's ever gone without talking in his entire life, "so we goin'"
"It's up to you," I gave him a slanted look because I knew he was dying of curiosity.

We ended up going to the hotel still armed to the teeth. The room read 409 we both gulped. We nodded to each other and I knocked on the door and it swung open.
"Holy crap," Mike whispered but slowly inched his way into the room pulling out his gun. I followed with my knife just in case. As soon as we entered the room the door swung shut I grasped the handle trying to pull it open but it was locked from the outside.
