Mike and I looked at each other without talking for about a minute before he started reeming me about trusting Connor.
"I told you that we couldn't trust this guy," he was yelling at the top of his lungs,"we go all the way to Canada from freakin' Dallas okay Dallas. Do you believe me now that he is full of crap. Do you now see that you can't trust a faceless guy behind a phone. This is what gets pretty girls To slam doors in your face and me to he very upset."
"I'm sorry you were right,"'I sighed turning to head for the car.
"Thank you that's all I needed," he walked behind me.
We were almost to the car when the door burst open and the cute girl yelled, "sorry, come in.". We stared at her for a whole minute before we back tracked and entered he house. The entire front of the house was some kind of mix between light and dark blue there were photo less pictures on the wall but over than that it looked like a normal family house.
There was a door we were approaching that did not look like it belonged in a family environment. It was black with iron bar and spikes all over it.
"Iron, silver, salt and blood mix nothing can get in there's even a little devil's trap in the corner and a pretty strong anti possession seal so any demon trying to sneak I'm will me snatched out and sent back pretty fast," she explained turning around to unlock the door exposing two tattoos of feather less wings on her shoulder blades. I was so much more into her now.
"Um..." Mike started.
"Avery," she filled in the blank.
"Avery that's pretty," I grinned and she smiled back.
"Can I talked to my partner please,"Mike asked.
"Yea just come in when you're ready," she shrugged and walk into the room behind he super enhanced door.
"You do realize that she can't be trusted right?"
"No, I mean yes," I tried to shake off my trance.
"She's no good because you don't know who she is right?"
"Right."
He patted my cheek and headed inside. I took a moment to collect myself, I knew that Mike was right, but pretty girls with tattoos always get me in a trance. I sighed really hoping that we could finally trust her.
I entered the room and was surprised to see a space that looked exactly like a tattoo parlor. The far wall was filled with tons of designs; there was a chair with a man in it getting his back tattooed by this black girl with red hair; Mike was strategically checking her out.
"As soon as your friend stops staring at me over there we can get to business," the black girl said looking up. She had the biggest brown eyes ever no piercings and no tattoos that were visible so I wasn't much interested but Mike was. I sat down in a waiting chair that faced both of the girls.
"Sorry," Mike gave her a sly look but got to work, "so can we really talk in front of this guy?"
"Oh yeah," she leaned down to whisper something in the guy's ears while still doing the tattoo multi-tasking.
"What this is the third session you said I'd be done by now I even paid you in advance too," the dude whined.
"You're not seriously arguing with me right," the black girl took the tattooing took and pressed it against the side of his neck, "you can stay here and I can finish the tattoo while talking to these guys easy, but then I'd have to kill you. You can pick."
Without hesitating the guy got up and grabbed his shirt.
"You come back now ya here," the girl waved and then looked at us, "I'm Piper and you must be the guys Connor's looking out for."
"That's Eric and I am Mike," he emphasized his name.
Piper ignored him and got right to business,"Connor hasn't told us much about you except for the fact that he needs us to help you out big time."
"Well you got us there cuz all we were doing was chasing a level 4 demon and he sent us on a wild goose chase to Canada."
"You two are pretty trusting not seeing a guy's face and letting him drag you all over North America," Piper propped herself up on the tattoo station, "make sure you bleach the needles Ava."
"Not my first time," Avery said dumping a bunch of needles into a tub.
"You two are hunters?" I asked leaning back wishing I was a smoker just so I had something to do with my hands.
"Sort of," Avery answered, "It's more like we help hunters actually hunting is way too much work. Plus here are some stipulations along with that."
"Stipulations?" Mike looked around trying to find an answer. When he didn't receive an answer he just sighed, "I might as well never ask a question again."
"Might as well," Piper mumbled,"we have to wait for Connor to call since we lost his number."
"We have his number," I said taking out my cellphone.
"Alright then," Piper took the cellphone made the call.
"Hello," Connor said.
"So what exactly are all of us doing here?" Mike asked with his usually brashness.
"You guys are here to save the world."
