"I knew we shouldn't have come." Mike whispered searching around trying figure out our surroundings.
"Yea, yea," I surveyed the area too," look at this," I plucked a note from the desk next to the computer, "pick up the receiver."
Before Mike could say anything I picked up the phone and slowly put it to my ear.
"Hello," I asked cautiously into the phone.
"Eric," I heard Conner's voice on the other end.
"Yeah where are you didn't you say that you were going to meet is here?" Mike came up behind me straining to hear the conversation.
"Yeah I thought I could make it," he sounded out of breath," I need you to go to this address you have a pen?"
"Get me a pen," I motioned to Mike and he Gage me a 'for what look'
"So I can get this address down what else," I rolled my eyes.
"give me the phone," he motioned and I shook my head he grabbed it from me accidentally pressing the speaker,"listen here Connor if that is in fact your name."
"Listen Michael we don't have time-"
"Make time," Mike said without any room for argument.
"Fine hurry."
"Where are you?"
"I'm in Canada but I couldn't get there in time because I was preoccupied."
"With?"
"Settling a score I hope you guys cam understand that."
Mike opened his mouth probably to spew profanity but I grabbed he phone from him having located a pen and a piece of paper.
"The address," I asked jot wanting to waste anymore time because for some reason I knew that all the answers Mike wanted would be revealed eventually. Connor gave me the address and promised to call when he was sure he could meet us face to face and hung up.
"You are not serious," Mike complained all the way to the car,"do you really think that all of this is just to exterminate some demon. It's obviously a plan to get us someone and to get rid of us."
"Would you quit complaining and trust me for once," I made sure that I was in the drivers seat for this trip, "I have a gut feeling that this is a lot bigger than just one demon and I also feel that Connor will help us out alright."
Mike muttered something under his breath, but didn't say anything else.
X. X. X.
We pulled up to this small one story house that was an olive green color with orange trim and purple shutters. Mike and I gave each other a 'wtf' look but reached to knock on the door.
"COMING!" a voice yelled from inside. Mike made sure that his gun has cocked and ready to start blasting.
The door burst open and all the tension dispersed as one of the cutest looking girl answered the door. She had raven hair and a tattoo on her neck and an eyebrow piercings. She was in a cute little blue sundress and her eyes were the color of he sea.
"Hi," I said and snapped out of it when Mike elbowed me in the ribs.
"Hi," she gave me a flirty look, "how can I help you two?"
Mike gave me a disgusted look before he said, "Connor sent us."
Her bright smile turned into a frown in an instant and she shut the door in our faces.
