---------------------
After the meeting concluded, they proceeded to throw Simon into a secluded, dark room. He squinted, but still couldn't make out a single thing. Since Simon divulged the vampire blood, his sense of smell had improved drastically, and in the circumstance it was no gift. It smelled of rotting wood and death. Which would be expected of an abandoned hotel turned vampire layer.
Simon hated to admit it, but he was scared. He was almost always scared, he just chose to push it away and ignore it. However, now all that bottled up fear started to overtake him. If you pile up your emotions too high, then they're bound to cause a landslide. That's what was happening to him now. He couldn't suppress them any longer.
Simon was alone and afraid. He was at the mercy of this dangerous vampire clan that were out to make his life even more miserable. What was worse was the fact that he was completely and utterly helpless. If he rebelled, then they would hurt the ones closest to him. Simon had nowhere to run; he was trapped. And he hated this feeling, as if he were suffocating. There was no hope left for him. Simon would surely die, it was only a matter of time. Once these ruthless monsters had had there fun, he was done for.
He had wished that he could be the hero for a change. But once again Simon found himself captured and in danger. Isabelle and the rest of them were probably tired of saving his ass. Maybe this time they would leave him for the dead. A part of him wished that they would. He didn't deserve to be saved; he was merely an inconvenience. They were better off without Simon.
"Knock, knock!" said a cheery voice.
Without actually knocking, Lauren stepped into Simons prison cell.
"Stinks in here," she commented, scrunching her nose.
He really wasn't in the mood for this.
"What do you want?" he asked, trying to sound threatening but it sounded more tired than anything else.
"Now, now. No need for stupid questions! You obviously know what I want," Lauren was speaking in an overly sweet voice which made Simons insides churn.
"Just leave me alone," he said. "Please."
She smirked and he knew she wouldn't be going anywhere. "You're coming with me."
Simon followed her back down to where the rest of the clan was loitering.
"Hey, hey, hey! Look who it is!" someone called out.
Everyone turned to look at him. Simon knew he was a mess: mentally and physically. But he was also aware that things were about to get even worse. He could tell by the way the vampires were looking at him that they craved his pain.
Lauren whispered in his ear, "Be a good boy and do exactly as they say."
She then slid out of the room, leaving Simon alone with the clan. There was a pause; they were probably thinking of what to do to him first. Eventually one of them piped up.
"Dance."
Simon hesitated; this was pointless. He was probably trying to embarrass Simon. But he couldn't be brought down by something so little as breaking out a few moves.
He did a little shimmy and waved his hands around. The clan was amused and started chuckling. However, it wasn't all merry sounding. There was a threatening undertone that made Simon freeze.
His predicament finally sank in for real; he was at the clans mercy.
They made him do a few more ridiculous things, probably to test his obedience. Simon hated every second of it and he was sure that the vampires knew how he was feeling because they all had a content look on their faces like they knew they were causing him pain, and enjoyed it.
Basically, they ordered him around for a few hours until Simon couldn't take it anymore. They had him clean up after them and he was forced to let them feed off of him. And it's not like he could fight it, his loved ones were at risk.
"He looks drained," one of them remarked in a bored tone.
It was true. Simon was exhausted and irritable. He was scared he would snap and they would hunt down his family.
"Feed him," someone ordered.
A girl came up to him and offered her wrist. Simon knew he shouldn't drink but he could smell the sweetness of blood and his stomach rumbled. He looked away defiantly but the girl grabbed his chin and turned his face toward her. At this point, he was positive that everyone could hear his gut grumbling and knew that he would cave eventually. But he would fight it. No matter what happened, he would keep his pride for as long as he could. Even with these bloodsuckers staring at him with hungry eyes. All of them waiting for him to give in to the temptation. And Simon knew that when he did, there was no going back. For him, it would be the final surrender. He had already feasted upon Lauren's blood which had led to this. He had to stay strong and ignore his senses.
"Stop," someone said. "Let him stay hungry. When it becomes too much, he'll eventually give in. And when he does, he will be on his knees begging for it."
They started clapping and cheering, liking the idea. Why did everything always have to get worse? Simon had such bad luck. And now he would have to grovel for vampire blood or die. But they probably wouldn't let him escape that easily. They would find a way to keep him alive so that he could endure even more torture. They're goal at the moment seemed to be humiliating Simon, and it was definitely working.
They allowed Simon to go back to his cell to sleep so that he could be fully rested for the next night of embarrassment.
