Simon stared at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. Lately, he had been going through some troublesome things in his life. Not like your typical teenage disasters such as school and homework and popularity. But insanely real crisis' such as the struggles of war and love. Two opposites that usually come together to either destroy and save. It had been a weird mix of emotions and it wasn't over yet. Tonight they would go to a party to find one demon in particular that could help them significantly. And Simon was ready. He may look tired and slightly agitated, but he was prepared to take down this enemy once and for all.

Since he would be staying another night at the institute, Izzy had given him temporary access to one of the many guest bedrooms.
It was very dark. Black sheets covering the bed and black curtains covering the window. Definitely fit for a shadowhunter. Or a goth.

The tiny bathroom was painted a dull beige and had a plain white shower curtain. But Simon didn't mind. He would give anything to avoid his mother at the moment and so he could deal with a boring bathroom.
This is the start to probably the biggest fight they will ever have. Well besides the whole "you're a monster" scenario. Which, luckily, has been forgotten because of the mind wipe. That's one good thing that has come out of all this mess.

Simon had just had a shower and changed into some of Alec's old clothes, more black, and now he was trying to fix his hair. He wanted to look good and Isabelle would be here any minute so that they could leave.

However, Simon still wasn't too fond of Izzy's plan. Summoning the greater demon? He didn't want to ever see that bastards face again. Ever. And what if this was all a set up? What if this is what the demon wanted and we were falling right into his trap? Unfortunately, they didn't have time for doubt. This plan would either work or it would come back to bite them in the ass.

There was a knock on the bedroom door and then Izzy was barging into the bathroom.

"Admiring yourself?" she teased.

Simon felt himself blushing. He hated how she could do this to him. Isabelle smirked knowingly and left calling behind her, "Hurry up, Beauty Queen!"

They walked along in silence. It was a rather cold night and Isabelle was wearing a sleeveless, extremely tight black dress that ended about mid-thigh. Her ruby pendant dangling around her throat. She also had on her knee high black leather boots that must have been hard to walk in. She looked gorgeous and intimidating but she must have been freezing. Simon offered her the leather jacket he was wearing, but she refused.

"I'm not cold," she insisted.

So stubborn.

Izzy seemed to glow in the dark. A twinkling shadow. And Simon wanted to remember this, how she looked right now, forever. She looked like a ghost. Mysterious. Illuminating. Too magnificent to be real. With her hair blowing gently around her face and her heels clicking on the cement.

Everyone always compared their loved ones to the sun. But Simon couldn't say the same about Isabelle. No. Izzy, she was the moon. Elegant. The only light in a sea of darkness. Like the moon, she would guide you.

It was almost midnight when they arrived. Magnus Banes house lit up the night. Literally. Blue and green sparks flew in the air and colourful lights flashed at a dizzying speed. Already, the floor was covered in glitter and streamers. It smelled strongly of booze.
