A new baby was born, my son. His name was Budd. Florence wanted to keep with the flower motif. Budd was born at 7:07 in the morning on July 7th. We called him our lucky baby.
Budd what's perfect. He had 10 fingers and 10 toes. He had my nose. Florence's Apple cheeks and the shape of my eyes and eye color too. He was even bald like I was when I was born.
When Florence took him to his first doctor's appointment. Florence was told that Budd had Down Syndrome seeing how there was a cure for Down Syndrome no he would have a Fighting Chance at anything and everything. And since medical procedures are free. There would be no problem giving Budd the cure.

Florence and I began to notice a change in iris. Iris was usually so bubbly and happy. Lately, she just hasn't been. His school has even noticed a change.
I received a message from them about Iris when I was at work. I told him that I would get back to them after I had found out myself and thank them for getting a hold of me.
I couldn't get home right away so I sent a message to florence. She told me that she got the same message. I told Florence that I would talk to Iris when we got home and not to bring it up until then.
When I got home that night. Florence and I walked over to iris's room and announced his presence. And she welcomed Us in we proceeded into her room. Iris was sitting at her desk as she turned around Florence and I were about to sit on her bed. I was just said ', yes, what is it?"
Florence and I just look at each other and then asked Iris what was wrong. I was just said in a snotty manner ", nothing, why?"
I just looked at Iris and then asked what was wrong. I was just said again and a snotty manner ", nothing, why?
Florence and I looked at each other. Then Florence said ", you normally won't speak to us this way and in this manner. We know that there is something wrong now. We're concerned about you iris. Your teacher even called because she was concerned about you."
Angry I just said ", I TOLD YOU! NOTHING IS WRONG! NOW PLEASE LEAVE!"
Our eyes got his biggest saucers and I just yelled back ", LOOK YOUNG LADY! THERE IS TWO SOMETHING WRONG AND WE'RE NOT LEAVING! YOU CAN FORGET THAT NOTION RIGHT NOW!"
Florence just looked at me shocked and told me to leave. Then she just said ", your dad is leaving. But we are going to have a little talk." I got up and walked out.
As I walked out I heard her say", FINE, WHATEVER!" I left the room and walked to the living area, and sat down in my favorite chair. I tried to fall asleep. But I was too riled up. Iris has never spoken to me like that before.
45 minutes later Florence walked out of iris's room. Florence told me what was wrong before I even got a chance to ask.
Florence then said to me ", iris is right. Nothing is being done. We have one more month until her 10th birthday and we are still stuck with the same law. Patrick, it is up to you now. I am going to do what I can and my end to disband this group of hours. You need to just buckle down and put somebody's name on that form and pass it into law."

For 2 weeks I had to form on my desk. Every time I sat at my desk. I will look down at the form and just stare at it.
I don't know why I was hesitant about it. I knew I needed to get it done. I knew I needed to change it. I also knew that I was stalling. It was two more weeks until her birthday.

Planning for iris's 10th birthday party started and Florence's group of uprisers were also disbanded except for a few stragglers. They were at the very least five that kept making a rocket. I told Florence that my security team would find out where they were hiding and arrest them.
I then asked for Florence ", do you think they will not tell the security team who their leader is?" Florence assured me that they wouldn't. Then she revealed to me the location and the whereabouts of the last stragglers. Then the strangers were rounded up the next day.

Nothing was ever said about who the leader of the Uprising was. They never revealed who their leader was. I was relieved about that. I wouldn't want myself or Florence to be banned off the ship and never see Iris or Budd again.
The next day I sat down at my desk at work and many times I tried to change Straight's Law. I just couldn't figure out how to word it. How should I make it sound as though the child has the choice?

After a week of struggling. It finally came to me. This is what I wrote;
I Phineas Ferb hereby want to change Straight's Law. I would like to state that each child (first or second born) may choose which career path of their parents they want to choose. Or they may choose their own career path.

That day Straight's Law was revised and put into circulation. That day the change was read over all intercoms for all to hear. As soon as it was red I knew of two people who were going to be glad to hear it was changed.
As soon as I walked in the door to my living quarters. Iris ran up to me and gave me the biggest head, ever. Then she just looked up at me and with all excitement in her voice said ", did you hear daddy, did you hear?" I just looked down at her and smiled and then said ", yes I did honey."
I was turned away from me and just twirled around the living room. I haven't seen her do this in a long time. It made me so happy to see her happy.
Informed pushed me up against the wall and planted a huge kiss on me then she said ", tonight you're getting everything you ever wanted, big boy." Did she just smiled at me and turned away.
All my favorite things were delivered that night for dinner. After dinner, she took care of little Budd. After she put the kids to bed. Florence led me by the hand to the bedroom. That night my dreams came true. If I didn't know any better. She was trying to make baby number three. But the Lost days that you can only have two children per household.
