The more Lucy thought about visiting Sheila Carter-Sharpe in L.A., the more she thought it might be nice to get to know her grandmother she never knew.
She couldn't wait to head to L.A. Life here in Genoa City was unbearable with her hypocritical parents. They couldn't even tell her about her grandmother?!
Lucy was waiting in Chancellor Park for Johnny who was going with her, "Sorry, I was late, I was getting clearance to take the Newman jet."
"That's okay," Lucy said. "Are we good to go?"
"Yes, the pilot is waiting for us now."
"Then, what are we waiting for?" Lucy said
Once on the Newman jet, Lucy wondered what it would be like to meet Sheila. She really couldn't be as bad as her parents said, could she?
Once they landed at LAX, Lucy wanted to go Il Giardino's where she found out online that Sheila worked there.
"Where do you want to go?" Johnny asked her.
"Let's go to Il Giardino's!" Lucy replied.
"Okay," Johnny said going along with Lucy's plan.

Once at Il Giardino's, Lucy and Johnny took a seat at the bar when Sheila came out to wait on them. Lucy immediately recognized her from the photos online.
"You're Sheila Carter?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?" Sheila asked the young woman.
"I'm Lucy Romalotti, your granddaughter." Lucy introduced herself to a stunned Sheila.
"Lucy?" Sheila said flabbergasted that Daisy's daughter was right before her. "Is that you?"
"Yes, I came here to meet you?" Lucy said. "I think it's a shame my parents never mentioned you before?"
"How did you learn about me?"
"I overheard my parents talking about you during a conversation they were having?" Lucy explained. "I did some research on you online and found out where you were living and well, here I am?"
"Oh, my, as happy as I am to see you, Lucy," Sheila began to say, "but you must go back home. I'm sure your parents don't want you around me?"
"I don't care what my parents think!" Lucy stated firmly. "I want to get to know you!"
"Okay, but I think your parents should be alerted to your whereabouts." Sheila said, "What's your parents' number? We'll let them know?"
