Xavier's POV
We reached Diane's house sooner than expected. I still wanted to spend some more time with her but I knew that it wouldn't be a good idea.
Chances are, Lucas knew that I went to see Diane. And there was a pretty good chance that he'd tell dad about it.
I'll probably have to face him later when I get home but right now I just wanted to focus on a certain someone.
"Thanks for taking me home. It's late. Your parents are probably wondering where you are." She said.
"I wouldn't worry about it. It's fine." Most probably a lie but I didn't want her to worry. "Besides. What kind of guy would I be if I didn't make sure that the girl that I liked wouldn't be home safely."
"Very smooth." She said. Both of us chuckling before a comfortable silence went between us.
"So..." I then went to gently hold her hand. "I just want to make sure that we're on the same page."
Looking at our joined hands before turning back towards at her. Feeling a bit of anxiousness. "It's.. it's official, right?? You and I are a couple?"
She didn't immediately answer. Instead, she was silent. Her face scrunching up as if she was really considering her answer which made me a bit worried.
That was before I felt her giving me a quick peck on my cheek.
"I hope that answers your question." She said to me with a smile.
Relief washed over me. Replaced with a warm feeling that I always felt whenever I was with her.
"I should get inside. And you.. you should go home." She pointed out. Though my mind was still stuck on one thing.
"We're officially a couple." I said and soon heard her laughing. Lightly pushing my shoulder.
"Go... I'll see you tomorrow at school." She said.
I was about to wear my helmet again when a thought came. "How about I pick you up tomorrow instead??"
"My dad's the one that drives me to school. My parents still don't know about you and I yet remember?? They'll know that something's up if you pick me up." She explained.
"Right." There was still that problem. Her dad's a hunter. And all hell will definitely break loose once he finds out that his daughter's dating the very thing that he's trained for to hunt.
"Well... How about I take you home after school then??"
"Xavier...."
"Please..." I said with a pout, which I was sure Ilios had snorted at.
"Fine. You can take me home tomorrow."
"You really mean everyday right??" I said while putting on my helmet.
She lets out a chuckle before lightly pushing my shoulder once again. "Go......."
Starting my motorbike, I look as she started walking towards the front door of her house. Stopping midway before turning back towards me with a cute smile on her face as she waved me goodbye. Walking the rest of the way towards her house.
"You know it's really refreshing to know something new about you human." I heard my wolf say while I was making sure that there were no cars nearby before driving.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"You're an absolute cringe when it comes to trying to woo our girl." I could heard the judgement in his tone as he said.
