"Baby, I'm home!" Minnie called out as she walked into your shared home.

She quickly kicked off her shoes and went to look around for you but as soon as she lifted her head, a gasp left her lips.

The sight in front of her was so romantic and beautiful - candles everywhere, flower petals along the floor, soft and romantic music playing over the speakers, and then, Minnie saw you across the room.

"Hi, beautiful," You smiled.

"Hi, baby. What is all of this?" She asked as she looked around, spotting some of her favorite foods on the table.

"It's almost our anniversary." You said as you pulled a chair at the kitchen table out for her.

Minnie smiled as she sat down in the chair.

"I know it's a few days away from now but I wanted to do something special in advance since it's such an important year for us."

"Well, I'm not complaining. I love it. It's beautiful and so thoughtful." She said as you sat down beside her. "I love you. Happy early anniversary, my love,"

You looked a little nervous as you looked at her and when she reached for your hand, she noticed that your palm seemed sweaty.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah." You assured and bit your lip. "There's just something else I have planned tonight."

"Really? Well, I don't see how you could top all of this but I'm curious and excited. What is it?" She asked with a grin on her face.

You wanted to save it for later but you knew that you wouldn't be able to.

You were far too excited to finally ask Minnie the question you've been dying to ask her for so long.

"Okay." You said before taking a deep breath and squeezing her hand.

You planned to ask Minnie to marry you.

But you planned on doing it in an unexpected and very sweet way, one that she would cherish forever.

You planned to ask her in Thai.

"ฉันรักคุณ," You said, starting the question off with a sweet 'I love you'.

Minnie's eyes went soft as her smile brightened and she happily repeated the words back to you in Thai.

"คุณคือสิ่งที่ดีที่สุดเคยเกิดขึ้นกับฉัน,"

You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, you spoke in Thai.

"ฉันนึกภาพชีวิตที่ไม่มีคุณไม่ออก"

I can't imagine life without you.

"ฉันโชคดีมากที่เรียกคุณว่าของฉัน"

I'm so lucky to call you mine, you continued.

"ฉันอยากจะใช้เวลาอยู่กับคุณตลอดไป"

I want to spend forever with you.

And as you finished saying that, you stood up from your seat and walked to her before taking a breath and getting on one knee in front of her.

Minnie gasped and stared at you in awe as tears of happiness filled her eyes.

Will you marry me?

The words echoed through Minnie's brain as she gazed at you in amazement and love.

You've talked about this for so long but agreed to wait until the time was right.

And it seemed more right and more perfect than ever.

It was finally happening and even though she couldn't believe it, she still found herself smiling through her tears and saying,

Yes.

You gasped as you heard her reply with the one word you had been hoping to hear.

"Yes?" You repeated and watched her nod quickly, laughing and grinning so happily.

"Yes! Yes, of course, darling. Yes, I'll marry you. I love you so much."

"I love you too!" You said before sliding the ring on her finger.

She leaned down and pulled you in for a sweet kiss; your first of many kisses as an engaged couple, of her as your fiancée, your soon-to-be wife.

When she pulled away, you hugged each other tightly and repeatedly told each other how in love you were with each other.

The rest of your lives were finally beginning and you couldn't wait to be her wife and to keep falling even more in love with her every single day.
