Tak-

Tak-

Tak-

A lone figure walked through the empty corridors, devoid of any light.

The sound of his shoes echoed throughout the space.

Although it was dark, the place was vast... it seemed like an abandoned castle.

As the figure continued to walk, a source of light, though faint, came into view.

After a few moments, the figure was standing near the source of light-a window.

Yes, those rays of light were coming from the lone window in the whole corridor.

The figure looked outside the window with a solemn expression.

"...Why?"

His voice echoed, perhaps reaching every corner of the castle.

He continued to stare out of the window, his face blank.

He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"No matter... just a few more years..." His voice trailed off as he closed his eyes and stood still.

Then, suddenly, his eyes snapped open as if sensing something.

He stared outside the window... and out of nowhere, he began to laugh.

"I see, I see..."

"So you have finally awakened... old friend."

"Seems like we will be meeting each other very soon..."

"..."

"Maybe in just a few more years..."

"So what you're saying is... you're not my enemy and you're offering to help me train in this domain?"

"Correct."

"But what about th-"

"No one will find out you're missing. Also, the exchange rate of time here is much faster compared to the outside world."

"And in this place... you're not physically present, only mentally. Well, you probably already figured that out after seeing your body."

"Mhm."

"But what's your reason for helping me, and what do you gain in return? And... as you said, this is my mental form, so that means this is my mental realm... then how are you here?"

Sigh

Caera stared intently at the woman sitting in front of her as they both took a sip of their tea.

Currently, they were sitting opposite each other at a table in the middle of nowhere.

'The last thing I remember is falling asleep, and then I got sucked into this... white realm, or my mental realm to be precise...'

'While I was still looking around, trying to figure out where I was, I saw this woman... the next thing I knew, we had a light spar... well, calling it a spar might be too much...'

'It was a one-sided beating!'

'I don't know how, but my body was as it was before I regressed with Grey... and, most surprisingly, I was at the Integration Stage!'
