(A/N sad chapter but also very romantic and I was out of my comfort zone writing this because this was way too lovey dovey for me)

(Brielle's POV)

⚔︎

AS WE clamber out of the limo, I nod to the guards who drove with us, signalling to them as a goodbye.

I've worked with some of these people for a while so it's an emotional parting despite no tears being shed.

I feel like I'm holding myself together with a safety pin, ready to burst open at any time.

A yawn leaves my mouth, I think we're all exhausted from today, as we walk towards Pirate territory, Harry and I hand-in-hand.

Anyone lurking nearby sends us strange looks, they're probably not used to seeing Harry Hook in a dress shirt and brand new cargos, then again, he does look gorgeous.

Hair tickles his ears and dark eyebrows tilt in a constant look of mischief, he's perfect.

He notices me staring because we make eye contact and he winks, sending a soft squeeze to my hand as I smile.

When we leave the tunnel he squeezes my hand in reassurance, I know the pirates won't be accepting easily but I'm sure over time I'll earn their respect.

One of the guards that is holding my suitcase looks unsure so I grab it off him and let him leave, which he looks grateful for.

Obviously dealing with Pirates was not on his job description, neither mate.

Harry raises a brow at me, "You're too nice, you should've let him carry it to the ship. Wimp." He chuckles as he pries the case out of my hands.

"Hey! I can carry it myself!" I insist but he sends a playful glare that shuts me up.

As we continue walking across the docks, members of the crew stop whatever they're doing to nod at Harry in respect and some brave ones send me glares and grunts.

I think I'm spared from most of it because the pirates' eyes seem to be glued to our joined hands.

I keep my cold mask on and meet all the eyes that try to intimidate me, some give up, some scowl.

We make our way past the docks finally and climb aboard the ship, it's the first time I've actually been on it without sneaking or being kidnapped.

The brown-polished, oak decking glimmers whilst some of the crew clean and mop, others sharpen swords and play-fight.

Uma, Celia and Gil are above deck chatting to 2 crew members when we join them, they turn to us. "Bonny, Jonas, this is Brielle, she's going to be joining the crew."

They look at me up and down, I probably don't fit in right now with my Auradon outfit, it doesn't help that it's covered in dust and deposition from previously being a statue.
