Chapter 6 - Comforting

Hali wakes up, still groggy from fainting earlier. It's the weekend, and the house is relatively quiet, but he hears Gempa calling him for dinner from the doorway.

"Hali, dinner's ready. Come on, you've been out for a while now. You need to eat." he could hear Gempa calling him downstairs.

"Yeah, I'm coming... I didn't realize I'd been out for that long."

He comes downstairs and meets face to face with Gempa.

"Where's everyone else?"

"They're already eating. Well, except for Solar. He's still in his room, buried in one of his experiments again."

"Figures. Typical Solar, locking himself up like that. Always acting like he's too good to join us."

"You know how he is. I've tried talking to him, but... he's stubborn. I think he's just caught up in his projects. You don't have to push it tonight, alright?" Gempa Sighs, a bit worried but not wanting to escalate things.

"Yeah, I guess. Not like he ever listens to me anyway."

They reach the dining room, where the others are just finishing up.

"Look who's finally awake! Thought you were gonna sleep through the whole weekend!" said Taufan grinning as Hali sits down.

"Shut up. I wasn't that out of it.", grumbled Hali.

"Sure you weren't. But don't worry, we didn't let Ice slack off while you were down." says Blaze as he gestures over to where Taufan and Duri are quietly plotting something near a napping Ice.

"What are you guys up to?"

"Oh, just a little harmless fun. You'll see." says Taufan grinning mischievously.

"Blaze says Ice needs a wake-up call."duri says grinning innocently.

"You guys never stop, do you?", said Hali shaking his head.

"Just don't break anything or wake the entire neighborhood, alright? Last thing we need is another mess."says Gempa from the kitchen overhearing what they were talking about.He then looks over Hali tone soft,

"How are you feeling now? Still dizzy?"

"I'm fine. Just... tired, I guess."

Hali felt hesistated but then asked,

"Where's Solar again? He's been holed up all day, right? Didn't even see him once."

"Yeah. I haven't seen much of him either. He's been locked up in his room since this morning, working on those experiments again. I tried getting him to come down, but... you know how he is." said Gempa showing a frown of worry.

"Figures. He always thinks whatever he's doing is more important than the rest of us." says Hali as he leans back his chair and looks out of the window.

"He'll probably show up when he feels like it. Typical."

"Just give him some space. I'll talk to him later. I'm worried about him too, but you know how stubborn he can be. He'll come around."

"Yeah, well, he better not be pushing himself too hard. Not that he'd ever admit it if he was."

"Trust me, I'll keep an eye on him. You focus on resting for now. You've had a long day yourself."

Hali stands up and nods still thinking about solar but not wanting to let it show.

He glances over at his other brothers, who are now in full prank mode, stifling a small laugh as Ice stirs awake.
