My parents never trusted me enough to drive myself after "the incident ". So cassie drives me to school everyday which i really don't mind. I love being the passenger princess.

Today is the first day of senior year!
I'm not really nervous about it. Okay maybe a little bit, but hopefully it will be just like other years, maybe even better.

About five minutes after i had gotten ready for school, i heard cassie's car outside so i quickly grabbed my stuff before she started honking like a manic, which she does a lot.
On my way out, i caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.I had finally grown into my skirt which was like a sack on me back in freshman year, but now it's sits just right and brushes my mid thigh.
I rushed out the front door to just as cassie started honking.

"Gosh, you don't have to be so loud" i said as i got into the passenger's seat.

"I have every right to", cassie retorted "I've been waiting for over thirty minutes"

"I literally heard you when you got here", i said with a shocked expression on my face.

"Yeah, thirty minutes ago" she says matter of factly while i just sigh and roll my eyes.

"So....", cassie says with a big grin on her face as she begins to drive.
"So?", i ask, confused.

Her smile drops "you're not gonna ask about my date?"

"Oh my gosh it was yesterday?!"
Cassie has been seeing this guy in our school for about three months and he finally asked her out on a date last weekend. I totally forgot about it.

"Yes!" She says with the smile back on her face. I'm so happy for her. Nathan is the first boy cassie has been with after her last break up. She was so devastated when she found out her ex boyfriend had been cheating.

We got to school about ten minutes later. We got out of the car and ran to our separate lockers to get our notes for the first period before the bell went off. I had two periods of Maths first. Kill me already

I got to class just as the first bell went off and took a seat at the second row to the front.
Cassie and i only have English together so I'll be alone for other subjects. Sigh

About thirty minutes into the second period, i was called into the principal's office. From what i know, people only get called into the principal's office when they are in trouble and i know for a fact that i have been a good student throughout my stay here.

I found my way to the principal's office, knocked on the door and walked in. Before this day, i had never been into the principal's office before. The hardwood floor creaked as i walked in and my eyes found Mr Maxwell's, who had a polite smile on his face.

"Jasmine", he greeted me as he beckoned for me to sit.
There was something about the smile he had o his face, it looked almost.....sympathetic?

"Your father called" he spoke up again after i had gotten comfortable.

That sentence alone made me want to faint. Had i done something wrong?

"Wh-what?" was the only word i could think of.

"He won't be able to make it to your orchestra performance next week, he says he'll be gone for about two weeks or so and that you should practice regularly for the performance"

This was the last straw. I hated my father.

He has never been to any of my performances, but this one was actually really special to me. I was going to lead the school's orchestra at the biggest theatre in the city, and he promised he would be there. Now he's telling my principal to pass a message of his absence when he could have just told me himself.

"Is that all Mr Maxwell?" I could feel my tears building up and a tight feeling in my chest. I was mad. But i didn't want to show it, i wanted to act like i didn't care.

"Yes, Jasmine" he says with the same sympathetic smile. I wanted to wipe it off his stupid face.
"I can try to convince him to come if that's okay with you" he says before i reached for the door knob.

I turn my head so now I'm facing him and forced a smile on my face "there's no need Mr Maxwell, thank you but no" it's not like he'll listen anyways. As soon as i stepped out of the office, tears begin to roll down my cheeks. I don't wipe them off, instead i just stand and think about what just happened. How could he do this to his own daughter?

I quickly rushed to the restroom when i heared footsteps from the other side of the hallway. I stayed there for some time to cool off.

I let out a gasp when i found someone waiting right outside the restroom on my way out . The one and only Golden boy, Aaron.
