7. Burden Of Secrets

Prongs, still slightly breathless from the excitement of the match, leaned heavily against the door, but it wouldn't budge. "Bloody door," he muttered, giving it a harder shove. It rattled but stayed closed. "One of you give me a hand!"

Wormtail hurried over, giggling, and both he and Prongs wrestled with the stubborn door handle. The delay was enough to give Padfoot and Moony a moment to regain their composure, exchanging quick, furtive glances that conveyed more than words ever could. The emotions were still raw, buzzing under the surface, but they couldn't confront them here, not yet.

They had to talk. They had to face the truth, no matter how strange or confusing it might be.

And so, with the echoes of the match still ringing in their ears, they made their way back to the castle, hand in hand, ready to tackle the greatest challenge of their lives: admitting to each other, and to themselves, what the dream had made so painfully clear. They were in love, and nothing—not the opinions of their friends, not the judgment of the Wizarding World, not even the looming threat of the full moon—could change that.

The walk was filled with a mix of excitement and dread. They knew they had to tell Prongs and Wormtail, but the thought of their reaction was daunting. Would they understand? Would they still accept them? Or would their friendship, the one thing that had always been constant in their tumultuous lives, be torn apart by this newfound revelation?

Once in the Gryffindor common room, they found their friends already waiting, looking at them with a mix of curiosity and concern. "What's going on with you two?" Prongs asked, noticing their joined hands.

Moony took a deep breath, his heart hammering in his chest. "Nothing," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Moony swallowed hard. "We'll figure thingsout," Padfoot whispered to him, his voice firm. "Together."
