I was standing in a vast ,open plain. The sky was a deep shade of indigo, and the air was filled with a sweet scent of blooming flowers .I saw Ndlalifa in the distance, walking towards me. But as he approached, his face began to distort and change , like a reflection in rippling water.
Suddenly, a figure appeared beside me. It was an old woman dressed in a traditional attire with a kind face, her eyes gleaming with a deep wisdom, "who are you" I asked my voice barely above a whisper"Nothando,my child,I am your ancestor," she said ,her voice low and soothing. "I have come to guide you, Nothando.Your dreams are not just dreams. They are messages from the spiritual worldmust listen to the whispers of the ancestors. They are trying to warn you of danger, not just for Ndlalifa, but for yourself as well." My heart racing.
" What do you mean? " My mind racing with questions,"the ancestors are trying to communicate with you. Listen to their messages. You must pay attention." I nodded my mind, reeling with the implications. I knew that I had to take the dreams seriously, but I had no idea what they meant or how to interpret them
"Come," she said, " let me show you."
She led me to a nearby stream ,its waters crystal clear. As we gazed into the water, I saw visions of the past and present, like ripples on the surface. I saw Ndlalifa, trapped in a web of deceit. I saw myself standing at a crossroads, unsure which path to take.
The old women's grip tightened around my hand. " You have the power to change the course of events, Nothando. You must choose wisely. "
I woke up, my heart racing. The dream was still vivid in my mind . I knew I had to make the right decision, but I was unsure of what the right choice was.
Dreams were becoming more frequent and intense. I would see Ndlalifa,in various situations, always in danger. I would see him being chased by a dark figure or trapped in a burning house or drowning in a river every time I would wake up with start,my heart racing, and my sheets drenched in sweat.
But it wasn't just the dreams that were unsettling, I began to notice strange occurrences around me . I would find feathers in odd places or see shadows darting around the corners of my room. I started to like I was being watched, even when I was alone.
