Harry should have never said yes.

Yes, the boat was quite enormous, but it was also incredibly overcrowded. Harry, who typically didn't feel claustrophobic, especially in the open air, was now experiencing the sensation. He kept bumping into people and was growing increasingly tempted to just jump overboard into the ocean.

On top of that, he had lost track of Niall and Liam a few minutes ago.

Another elbow collided with Harry's rib, and a blonde-haired girl glanced at him and offered an apology. Harry half-heartedly smiled at her and continued walking, hoping to reach a less crowded area at the end of the boat. He heard several people cheer, ' Chug, Chug, Chug ', and he rolled his eyes at the sight of his classmates, including Louis, indulging in their revelry.

Harry pushed past two guys who were dancing a little too intimately.

Finally, he managed to find a somewhat less suffocating spot at the very end of the boat. Leaning against the gunwale, he was forced to gaze at the sea of students rather than the vast expanse of the ocean due to the pitch darkness outside. This only added to his anxiety. While he generally enjoyed being on boats, being in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by inebriated individuals, and enveloped in darkness, was a recipe for stress.

The boat gracefully glided through the vast expanse of the ocean, its vibrant neon lights hung up casting an enchanting glow upon the night sky. It was a mesmerising spectacle, perfectly mirroring the infectious energy that permeated the revellers on board. The pulsating music reverberated through their bodies, intertwining with the symphony of laughter that echoed across the water, effortlessly blending with the rhythmic crashing of the waves. At least, the party was sure not to be disturbed by annoyed neighbours complaining about the noise.

Amidst the sea of joviality, a sudden commotion broke out.

Harry noticed it when whispers spread like wildfire, and heads turned to...

Oh God, was this another boat? Were they going to be attacked by pirates?

A mixture of fear and relief washed over Harry as he realised that the approaching vessel was adorned with flashing blue and red lights, piercing the darkness with an air of authority.

The police had arrived, casting an ominous shadow over the once jubilant festivities.

With no time to ponder the gravity of the situation, panic descended upon the crowd like an unexpected tempest, shattering the carefree atmosphere into a frenzy of fear and desperation. Startled students scattered in all directions, akin to a school of fish startled by an unseen predator. Frantic shouts pierced the air, blending with the sound of hurried footsteps as partygoers desperately sought cover, yearning for refuge from the inevitable consequences of their revelry, futilely hoping they could escape the clutches of the relentless police presence.

Harry, engulfed in a tidal wave of panic, felt his heart thundering in his chest and his breath racing. His mind spun in a dizzying whirlwind of confusion and fear. Surveying the scene of disarray and desperation, he witnessed people diving behind furniture, cramming into cramped hiding spots, and desperately attempting to blend into the shroud of darkness.

Fuck. Their teachers were so going to kill them. He knew he shouldn't have said yes.

Harry attempted to move, his head swivelling in search of his friends, but an unrelenting surge of bodies pushed him closer to the boat's perilous edge. His heart pounded even faster than before, and a suffocating sensation overcame him.

Grimacing, he strained to find a path through the dense mass of bodies... until, suddenly, his footing faltered.

Time seemed to suspend in mid-air, but at the same time, it all happened so fast.
