Chapter 4. The Trap Is Set.

Inuyasha had been struggling with his home life with his wife lately and things have been stressful.

Serena of course, understood this feeling he had because, she too was struggling with her marriage and trying to be a mother to her child the two work together so closely but lately, their spouses have been very isolating or distant from them, so this caused them to almost make out with each other. 

She stopped them and told him even if she was strongly interested in him and wanted to, she couldn't, not with him because she is loyal, and also the fact Darien loved him like his brother. So, he was going to leave, but Serena told him not to drive he had been drinking. So, she told Darien a white lie and told him he was in a fight with Kagome, and he was depressed, and he got drunk.

So, she didn't want him to drive home. So, Darien nodded okay.

So, Inuyasha stayed the night, but he smelt the scent of another female on his so-called bestie, and it was not like when he smelt him in surgery many times before but, no this was a scent that was covered on his body, and it smelt like his wife's scent, why would Kagome's scent be cloaked onto Darien's body? This made him worry.

So, the following morning he told Serena the truth and he smelt it with his own nose.

She asks if this was because of what happened last night. But he said no. He was being honest this was about their issues with their own spouses. 

He was sure of it, he no longer could believe Darien, he tried to find reasons for his behavior, but even he couldn't figure them out and his own wife wasn't acting that much differently than her own husband and he believed the two were cheating on them. So, he cooked up a plan to catch them.

Serena agreed it was time, it had been about 2 years since they all met each other, but it was only getting worse the lies and neither one could carry on like this anymore, so she agreed to set up a plan to bust the two of them. Or find out who they are sneaking around with. So, let's begin where I left off at enjoy.

So, the two made up all the arrangements had been made. Inuyasha and Serena changed a few plans around and time and how long they'd be gone, but the trip was set. As Serena called her mother and asked if she could take Rini for the week while she is gone. She smiled and said she'd love to take her granddaughter. 

So, everything was set in motion. Inuyasha was extremely determined to find out what his wife was up to. So, the two managed to set up their flight and made everything set for their travels. 

Inuyasha told Serena that he had taken care of everything, now all she had to do is walk out the door. As he texted her. As she looked up from her cell phone. 

"Hey, you ready to go, the car is downstairs for you, Said Darien" serious tone of voice.  'Yes, I am all packed and ready to go, Say's Serena" gently grabbing her suitcase. "That's great now you're sure you have everything that you'll need. Stated Darien" making sure she didn't forget anything to where she'd have to come back home. 

"Nope, I am all set, Said Serena" heading for their bedroom door when she stopped. 

"Darien, I need to ask you something? Asked Serena" gentle tone of voice. "What is it? Asked Darien" looking at her as he placed a hand on her face. 

"I just, wanted to ask, or I just wanted to know, you'd never cheat on me, right? Asked Serena" playing the field and giving him a chance to come clean on his own. "What---!!! No, darling how could you ever think such a thing? I love you, Babe, I have never once cheated on you, I love you and only you, Said Darien" hugging her, as he was lying to her face. 

As she senses it, it was there she senses it, he was lying. She shook it off as he pulled back and put a smile on her face.

"Your right it's stupid, it's just something my co-worker said to me earlier this week, when Inuyasha and I were setting up business meetings, and I told her about us a little bit, not too much, but the fact that we haven't been sleeping together, and I guess, she got it into her head that, you were unfaithful to me, but then she brought up how her ex-husband cheated on her when she was out of town, so I was stupid to think that way, I won't believe those lies ever again, please forgive me for letting her get into my head, Spoke up Serena" sadly putting on the act super well.
