Rambeau residence

Carol had left a few minutes ago so Kamala and I were waiting for our coordinates. "Okay, Nick just sent his coordinates so we will be heading to him since your family is there as well." I tell Kamala while entering the coordinates to where Nick is. Kamala walks over to the chair next to me as we prepare to take off to earth.

After a while we finally see earth in front of us. "We're almost there!" I shout to Kamala who was sitting on one of the couches. She gets up and takes a seat next to me preparing for landing. "I'm sorry I couldn't help saving Monica." Kamala says sincerely. "Don't worry. Mon knew what would happen. You did all you could do, Miss Marvel." I reply with a soft smile to assure her.

Once I land the ship, I open the ramp so that we could get down. Kamala walks out first with me trailing behind her. Once her family sees her they run up to her, glad to see she is still alive. "Kamala you saved the world." I hear her father say when I walk past them heading towards Nick.

Seeing how Kamala stands there almost numb Nick calls her over. "What happened?" Nick asks us, his focus mainly on Kamala since she is crying. "We lost Monica." She answers him. The loss of Monica hitting him hard leaving him unable to question further. "She got stuck on the other side." Kamala explains further. "And Carol?" Nick asks, his voice being cold. "She's fine. She went to fulfil a promise." I assure him.

After a few seconds of silence I decided to speak up. "Come on, It's been a long few days. Let's try to relax a bit." I urge them. Kamala is the first one who moves. Before I can set a step a hand holds me back. "You heading up again?" Nick asks me. "No, not yet. Carol is heading towards earth once she's done. So I think I'll stay for a bit. Visit Clint and his family, spend some time with Lena. Normal stuff." I answer. "Good, don't put too much pressure on yourself." Nick says before motioning for me to follow him.

The night had already fallen and since Kamala and her family had nowhere to stay I decided to let them use ship to stay for the night.

I wasn't used on having so many people on the ship so when Kamala and her family were discussing something I took it as a way to head outside. Once I was outside I look at the stars, a habit I had since I met Carol. Almost every night I looked at the stars no matter where I was. After a while I see a blinding light in the distance, almost like a shooting star. But the closer it gets the more I notice that it is not a star

"Thank god, your safe." I tell Carol once she lands in front of me. "I almost thought you left me for Yan." I continue jokingly. "I was thinking about it. But that would mean I have an angry assassin after me so I decided against it." Carol tells me with a small grin on her face. "You would miss me space girl." I say before walking in the ship to sleep.

"Here, you take this box inside." Carol commands me while handing me a box filled with Kamala's belongings. "Sure." I reply before heading towards the house with Carol behind me carrying another one.

After everything that happened we decided it was better that Kamala and her family would live in the Rambau residence since nobody would be living in it anymore.

"And then there's this very bizarre-looking tray, which I will say is a very good quality, though." Kamala's mother says holding up the tray from Aladna. "You can keep it." Carol says walking past her. "Oh,no,no, Carol, I just..." She says denying it. "No really keep it. The further it is out of my way the better." I tell her before grabbing another box to carry inside.

"Lia, I'm heading off with Kamala." Carol tells me, standing on the porch of the house. "Okay." I answer from inside.

We were finally done once the sun was already down. All of us were just sitting inside talking about all sorts of thing. "You guys can stay if you wanna, right?" Kamala asks her mother. Before she can reply I quickly speak up. "Oh no Kamala. No need." I deny. "No, Thalia. I insist, you guys stay." Kamala's mother answers. "Then we will stay Mrs Khan." Carol replies, not leaving any room for me the argue.

I feel Carol softly nudging me before nodding towards the door. "Excuse us for a second." Carol says before leading me outside. "Where are we going?" I ask her but not getting an answer. After a few minutes we arrive at small pond surrounded by trees. The moon light shining on the water. "Come sit down." Carol says patting the spot next to her.

"This is the place where you first kissed me." I remark seeing the place we hadn't returned to since 2006. "About 20 years ago. Can you believe that?" Carol says. "You know, after all this time I still remember how I felt sitting by the water with you that night. I'm thankful you crashed on earth." I tell her. "I'm glad you were the one who was supposed to arrest me, Agent Romanoff." Carol replies with a small smile.
