Choi Seungcheol is a young man who lives in a beautiful kingdom on an island. He loves the ocean and has always thought of it as his second home.

Feeling the waves crash on to his body, hydrating his skin after a long day of attending to his royal duties, the ocean would bring him comfort and hold him safely as he floated.

Seungcheol was always warned about not swimming too far deep into the ocean, and he listened. He listened to his parents and the royal court. He listened to them describe the vicious creatures that lived beyond the shallow waters. And he didn't dare defy the people he loved and cared about. But he couldn't help but wonder what was beyond out there and he couldn't help but contemplate and read; wanting to ease his curiosity.

He loved to swim in the evenings, especially after his responsibilities for the day are over. Rushing over to the shore, not caring about the sand in his shoes, or whether he trips and falls- he will get up and rid of his royal attire and dive into the water.

Today he was particularly mesmerized by the subset as he came out of the water- floating in his place. The warm glow that the sun casted, reflecting off of the water and on to his face, he felt at home. It was like nothing could pry him out of the water. He could sit there and look on forever.

He's always wondered if the creatures he was told about are real or not. He wanted to explore more. He wanted to see what he could not see form above, but he knew that was impossible.

He didn't want to be a pirate are to be an explorer, he wanted to dive deeper and deeper into the ocean. Wanting to see if there is something greater for him to discover.

He was never shy of voicing his opinions- to open up to his parents about his desires- but he was shut down every time. And without further questioning, he he'd leave and look out his window onto the serene ocean, wanting to jump off of his balcony and dive in- floating- thinking to himself if there's more.. If they are wrong... If they are right...

Seungcheol would think to himself, knowing that he'd be putting himself and everyone around him at risk of losing their heir to the throne.

Though he does have a younger brother, he is far too young to on the throne. He bears the responsibilities of the kingdom and will not let his people down.

On this particular day. He found himself watching the sunset. The night coming through, until out of the corner of his eye he sees a beautiful shine.

He quickly looks over, almost giving himself whiplash and sees a splash as someone or something dives back into the water, leaving him alone.

He swims over and finds a comb floating- about to sink. So he grabs it, intrigued, he takes a closer look at it.

There are beautiful shells decorating the handle, along with perfectly round pearls. It shines and glimmers like nothing he's ever seen before. It doesn't look man-made, it looks like it was crafted by the gods. Like it was made for the most delicate of hands and most beautiful of hair.

He doesn't know who or what left this comb behind, but as if a spell was cast it upon him, he mindlessly dove into the water; taking a deep breath before he did so.

He swam and swam with no directions in mind, he just kept on swimming until he felt his breath come short. His eyes slowly closing, not knowing whether he's gonna wake up back on the shore, or whether he made the biggest mistake of his life.

He falls unconscious.

He falls unconscious
