 The next two days afterwards, Xana worked and Tenn would be in the library with her. He refused to let her be alone, he refused to allow her to be in solitude. Once it came to be her birthday she had the day off and she slept in a bit more than she usually did. That was until she felt Tenn's soft hand go through her hair. "Wake up Xana." He spoke softly to her

She blinked her eyes a few times before she looked at him. "T-Tenn?"

He smiled at her as he continued to brush his hand against the side of her face. "Happy birthday Xana."

She looked at him flustered before she smiled at him. "T-Thank you."

"Sit up for a moment, I made you breakfast."

She looked at him puzzled as she did indeed sit up. Once she had she saw that he used the tray she'd use when she's sick. He placed the tray in front of her before grabbing his own food and he sat down at the end of her bed so they could have breakfast together. "T-Thank you for this, I really appreciate it."

"Of course, I'd like for you to comprehend just how much you matter to me." He said as he ate his breakfast.

The two of them talked while they had their breakfast, afterwards Tenn took care of their dishes before he came back into her room with a present bag. He gave it to her and smiled. "This is my gift to you, I would like it if you'd wear it today instead of one of your usual outfits."

Xana was confused on what he meant and looked into the bag only to find a beautiful dress that had flowers on it that was pink, a necklace and a pair of two inch heeled sandals. She smiled at Tenn and nodded her head. "Thank you so much Tenn, I will defiantly wear this today. I'mma go shower before I place this on. We'll leave when I finish getting myself together."

"That's fine. I will wait for you in the living room Xana." He said with a smile before he kissed her cheek softly "Don't worry I'm going to make sure that your life doesn't end today. I will risk everything just to be sure you live another day Xana."

As he spoke to her he held her face in his hand softly, which made her look up at him flustered. "I...I trust you Tenn, I'm placing my life in your hands for the time being. Please do take good care of me."

"I will, mark my words on that." He said before he gave her one last kiss on the cheek and left her room

Xana never thought she'd actually have a boyfriend let alone have someone who cared and wanted to be in her life as much as he did. It made her realize just how different Tenn was from other people. She got herself up and went to take a shower, after she had finished showering she got herself dressed in the clothes that Tenn had given her for her birthday. As she finished getting herself together her phone went off and she saw that it was her mother.

She answered it on speaker as she was brushing her hair. "Morning mother."

"Happy birthday Xana sweetie, Are you still coming over today?"

"I am, and I was hoping that you'd allow me to bring my boyfriend as well if that is okay with you."

"Of course! I'd love to see what type of male caught your eye sweetie."

Xana let out a sigh of relief as she had her eyes shut while she kept brushing her hair out. "Okay good, he was adamant about being with me all today. It was why I asked."

"Aww, that's sweet of him. Remember noon is when we're expecting you here so please be here on time. Your sister is already getting herself ready."

"You better have a leash on Xaia or she is going to be utterly humiliated by her own actions and words." Xana said seriously as she opened her eyes and looked down at her phone

"I'm aware of that honey, I will make sure she is taken care of. You just enjoy your birthday alright?"

"I will attempt, it will take me a bit to get to the house so I will be leaving soon to get to the house."

"Excellent, before you hang up though-I just need to get a clarification from you for something."

"Sure what's up mother?"

"Your favorite cake is Strawberry right?"

"Indeed it is."

"Oh good, I did get that right. I'll see you soon sweetie I love you."

Xana didn't know how to handle her mother showing compassion towards her and hung up the phone in fear. She then sat on her vanity chair as she held her head with both of her hands as she began to sob out with her eyes shut. Tenn was worried she was taking too long knowing that it didn't take her long to get herself together.

When he poked his head into her room he saw that she was crying, he went up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder softly. "Xana...what's wrong?"

"M-My mother...S-She just called to be sure I was coming a-and...and she had told me before I hung up out of fear that she loved me...I...I don't ever hear those words from her. I don't remember a single day when she has said those words to me!" She said through her tears

Tenn knelt down so he was at level with her before he hugged her tightly, she hugged him back tightly as she sobbed out against his shoulder as he rubbed her back to calm her down.

"She's learning to be a better mother to you, it is progress Xana. Don't shut her out alright?" Tenn spoke softly to her

She sniffled and nodded her head. "O...Okay I won't. W...We should go though it's a bit of a way to get to my mother's place."

"Then let's go, remember I'll be at your side the entire day. You won't ever have to be alone I promise."

She nodded her head and kissed his cheek softly. "Thank you so much for being who you are Tenn."
