Old 'Friends'

The moon rose from the horizon as the sun was slowly drowning.
A trail in the forest, in which the protagonists took as their path.
They seek for something to replenish their hunger.
They had gone desperate that they would even accept a rotting carcass.

"I'm starving..."

"Hold it for a moment, okay, Denny? We promise we will find food for you."

"..."

The spirit had gotten suspicious of the demon because he was awfully silent the entire time. Had enough, he finally asked him.

"Why so quiet? It's not the same without your constant drop of sarcasm."

The demon hung his head up at the spirit's question, he argued with himself whether to tell the spirit or not on why. He then made his decision shortly.

"To be honest with you two, I have a bad feeling."

"Oh, I thought it was just me."

"I'm scared.."

"Fear not! Andrew will protect us!"

"Wha- You're the most powerful between us three!"

"Nu-uh."

"... I'm too tired to argue."

"Mwehehe!"

This feeling, it was way too familiar.. If my guess was right, it'd be HIM.
But hey, I got Alex, right? No, no, I doubt he could stand a chance against HIM. What was HIS business coming here? Last I check he wish not to do anything related to me anymore... Unless..

I pray to God, let it be not HIM..
That guy's smart, he'd probably already knew I had Alex by my side... So I was sure he had his old lackeys with him. This was just beyond bad if he was actually here.

Turns out I had been in my inner monologues for too long, whilst Denny was busy playing with a weird tree we stumbled upon, a certain spirit stomped my feet.

"Ow, ow! Hey! What's that for?!"

"This bad feeling, tell me about it."

"It's just a feeling."

"You can't lie to me, I can't lie to you, so let's just be sincere."

"It is none of your business."

"Should I remind you?"

"I said it's nothing, why do you insist on knowing? What good will it do you? It's just merely a feeling! It's not certain if it's true or not!"

"Well, uhm- Who knows I might be able to help? Y'know, giving advice or comfort?"

"Comfort? Oh please-"

"Comforting is one of good deeds!"

"I'm willing to try but that affectionate crap!"

"You're being an emo now!"
