A Good Start

My eyes opened slowly as the sun's bright light shooted my visions.
I slowly got up and rubbed my eyes. I then glanced the area and could see a bunch of animals roaming around living their wild life.
I looked back expecting to see Alex, but he wasn't there?

"Alex."

I called out to him, but no response. I called out to him again, still no response.

'Where the hell did he go..'

That's when I heard a faint scream slowly becoming closer. From afar I could see Alex getting chased by an angry elephant.

"Holy shit. HOLY FUCKING SHIT."
"DON'T JUST 'HOLY SHIT'. FUCKING RUN!"

Alex eventually reached my position and I started running along with him as the elephant chases not far behind.
It massive size intimidated me with its big foot each step stomping the ground making it shaking as we... Well um, I struggle to keep my balance. Until something popped up in my head.

"Wait, why are we running."
"Ah—"

Alex hovered above as I grew my wings and flies following him behind, the elephant stopped in its track and could only do nothing but continue back to its business before whatever Alex did that angered the elephant.

"What did you even do that made an elephant upset?!"

"I kinda lifted her child to uh... A tall tree.. It was stuck and before I could do anything about it uh she chased me"

"... Why in the first place would you even think of lifting a damn elephant to a tree... ? I— How could the elephant even get stuck there without the tree broke first by its weight?"
I said struggling to find a good wording.

"Earth Mystery, I guess. But hey, good morning!"

"I.. Whatever, Good morning. Well now that both of us are awake, we should get going."

"Oh? To where?"

"To... Ah, yes! We're going to fucking nowhere, that's where."

"You're going to fuck nowhere? How does that will even work?"

I didn't expect him to reply that way..

[The ghost joked, but the demon took it seriously.]

"No, no that's not what I meant... I got no destination in mind.."

"Pfft, hah! Hmm...."

Both of us were thinking of destination, still floating in air.

"Hey, I remember there's a town nearby!"

"A town? I suppose that'll do for now. Lead the way, please."

We then flew off leaving the forest.

After unsaid time of flying, I noticed some humans with weapons on their hands down below walking on their path.
'Oh? New types of weapon? How interesting.'
