He says referencing that TikTok sound. "Get the fuck outtttt." I say laughing. "It's cute, come on now even though the party ain't start yet. Dallas is a little bit of a drive with traffic so you gon' be late."

"Okay look I'm leaving right now." I show him me leaving and closing my door. "Ight see you soon." He says before we both kiss the phone and I hang up.

"Bestieeeee!!" We both yell when the phone connects. "What you doing bestie?" She ask me. "Just pulling up to my brother house what bout you?" I ask smiling very big. She didn't say anything she just showed a boy sleeping next to her. "Which one is that?" I mouth. "I'll tell you later." She mouthed back. "Okay I'll call you when I get homeeee" I say. "I love you tons mwah mwah." I say before hanging up. I turn off the car and get my purse, then I make my way towards his house. I hear a lot of commotion and when I knock on his door it goes completely silent. My brother open the door and smiles "Come on."
"Okay these are some of my friends they already here you know Quan and Josh but this Jayc, Kb, and Dre." He says pointing to them. "I know Jayc and Kb not y'all real name." I say side eyeing them. "Yeah.. it's not. Cop." Kb says making Jayc chuckle. "Whatever my name is Lilah." I say shrugging my shoulder and sitting on my brothers couch. Mar sits next to me then everybody goes back to blasting music, rolling up a blunt, or dancing. "Where these niggas come from?"
"From what they say they move a lot but they been in the hood for a while, they also in the same shit I am. I just ain't have them around you." He says looking at the time on his phone. "Well true, I'm always working." I say shrugging my shoulders. "How is the nursing job going?" He ask turning his body to give me his full attention. "Let's go get the lawn chairs to put outside the party finna start." He says patting my leg to get up. "Okay continue my bad." He adds as we were walking to his garage.
"Its going good it's just like very tiring but I'll get used to it." I say shrugging my shoulders before I grab two lawn chairs. "Shoulder shruggg ahh nigga." He says before grabbing lawn chairs too. "I'll throw this chair at yo head." I say before we both laugh. Quan and Josh take the chairs out of my hands "Thank y'all." I say giving them a soft smile. I go to the get the last ones while Jayc and Kn were following behind me.
"It's Ight we got it." Kb says getting the chairs I was about to get, Jayc does the same with the last few chairs. They already had the tables and drinks out there and it was already getting very late. And people were already pulling up...
While all the boys went outside since it's obviously a block party nobody's going to really be inside, Jayc was sitting on the couch in the living room. I was comptemplating if I wanted to go outside or stay and meet Jayc. I would feel bad for leaving him lonely with no one to talk to. Or maybe he didn't want to have anyone to talk to?
I'm just getting in my head too much. Without thinking, I walked over to the couch and sat next to him which caused him to look up. "Yo." He says before looking back down at his phone. "Heyyyy why you not outside getting lit?" I say with a harder accent. "I don't know.."
"I might get me a drink or some but I'm chilling." He mumbled. I just nodded. "Where you from?" He asked but it just sounds like he's mumbling. "What did you say?" I asked and he asked the question again louder. "Ohhhh I'm from Baton Rouge what bout you?" I ask. "Here." He replies short and sweet. "I could tell you were from Baton Rouge," He says before taking a short pause "yo accent."
"Everybody says that but like I don't know I can't help if you know?" I say and he just shakes his head. I know I was trying to be nice but is he always this quiet?

"20." Short... and sweet again. "Oh well Im 19." I say. "How you know Mar?" Jayc says randomly. I was thrilled he said this, he barely says anything. "That's my brother." I say chuckling a little bit. "Oh deadass?" He says looking shocked making a face. "Yeahhh."
"He said he had a little sister but I thought it was like you know how friends be like oh my sister my brother type shit." He says, the most he's said. "Noooo we're blood related"
"You got sibilings?" I ask "Yeah I got a two older brothers and a sister."

I hum. "So Lilah yo real name?" He says putting his phone down on his lap and giving me his full attention. "Well my name Delilah but it kind of sounds like white or something so." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"It's pretty." He bluntly says. "What's yours? I told you mines." I say smiling real big. "If I tell you. It's still Jayc to you." He says sternly. "Okay okay." I say putting my hands up. "Jayvon."

I looked him up on YouTube to see like one song and made a "really nigga" face. "You only have one song."
"I'm working, what you be doing." Jayc says with some sass. "I'm a influencer and a nurse." I say sarcastically putting my chin up. "You not shitting on nobody, I'm gonna be up one day." He says rolling his eyes. "I know you're going to be up, I'm not doubting you. I believe you." I say with a serious look causing Jayc to smile and turn the other way.
