"WHO YOU TEXTING" KB says looking over my shoulder in the backseat since Im in the passenger seat. "Shit nobody fr, Lilah." I say not looking up from my phone. "Y'all been real close lately."
"I don't know, she cool." I say brushing it off. It's been a couple weeks almost a month since that block party I met her at. She cool and got a comforting personality, she gon be a cool friend. We always on the phone or texting, and when she be with her brother, I'm always with him so we be talking. Some calm shit.
"This just a friend type thing?" Dre ask with one eyebrow up. "Hell yeah y'all know I can't commit." I say as they both dap me up. "What are y'all talking about?" Mar says in the drivers seat as he hung up the phone. "Man they was like am I just friends with yo sister and I was like hell yeah."
"Ohhhh yea y'all have been real close lately." He says with one eyebrow up. "Whatever bru, she doing this 20 v 1 and she wants to know if I wanna do it with her so it could be a 20 v 2."
"You should do it, just to get out there and have fun." Mar says and Dre agreeing. "Then they gon look like a couple on the media." Kb says "Exactly." I follow behind him. "If y'all really only friends it shouldn't hurt y'all to say we just friends." Dre says "Exactly." Mar says following Dre, mocking me. "Ight Ima do it. It's tomorrow."

I FaceTimed her and she answered the second ring. "You asked me to call you you should've answered the first ring." I say. "Omg you're so sassy."
"Am not."
"Am to."
"Am not."
"Am t- shhhh" I say interrupting her and putting my finger over the camera. "You can't shush me baby."
"Say ong." I say making a "bffr " face. "I don't put stuff on god." Lilah says crossing her arms. I was set up on her vanity it looked liked. " I put it on you that you can't shush me." She says trying to hold in her laugh. I close my eyes and dramatically play dead causing her to laugh really loud, luckily I got my AirPods in. "You're so stupid bruh." She says in between her laugh as she took FaceTime photos.
"Where you at?" Lilah says getting closer to the screen and squinting her eyes. "Shit I just went out to eat with the guys I'm getting dropped home though."
"What y'all eat?"
"Just some canes bruh." I say shaking my head. "Don't, cause you be lying about eating I'm just making sure." She says softly, showing she cares.
The way I grew up I really don't think guys can have eating disorders, that's what my mom always told me when people said crazy things about me and my siblings having eating disorders. For her this was probably a dream come true because she always preached how she wanted skinny kids and she's so grateful for us. I don't think I had to say too much to Lilah, she was already kind of suspecting an eating disorder.
And she didn't go around and tell everyone she just told me. So ever since that day I kind of opened up to my childhood and things about eating. Sometimes eating just disgust me and I don't want to. Sometimes I lie to Lilah about eating because I don't want anyone to worry about me, she finds out and worries anyways. Typical Lilah.
I don't know how to describe Lilah, but I wish I had a Lilah in my life way sooner. If I had a Lilah in my life way sooner I probably wouldn't be in the streets, I probably would be able to eat regularly, I probably wouldn't have the social anxiety I have now. Lilah was a good friend, and I hated how everyone tried to make it something. She was extremely pretty and had a very good personality.
But I don't want a relationship, especially not with her. I don't want to hurt someone like her.
"Look Im walking in the house now." I say turning my camera, showing me walk in the house. "What you finna do? Play the game?"
"Probably"
"You better not hang up." She says with sass as I turned my camera back around. "I'm nottt." I response. I get to my room and sit in my gaming chair. I text a couple girls back, and other people then I propped up my phone. When I propped my phone up Nadia started facetiming me. "Hold on." I say before answering her call.
"What bro." I say annoyed she called. "So you're really still upset with me?" She says with only the top of her head in the camera. "You said some outta line shit bout Lilah for no reason." I say looking at the camera. "Okay because yall are getting so close for what?"
"Nadia. We're not. together. Even if we we didn't break up, Lilah is. my. friend." I say putting my controller down. Nadia smacks her lips in response. "Don't believe me, I don't care. But I don't care enough about you to lie to you."
"Are you fucking serious right now Jayvon?" Nadia says putting her whole face in with a shocked expression. Jayc just looked nonchalantly at the camera. "Baby we can try again stop shutting me out, we can take it slow." Nadia says really fast. "Ok." I say. "Can I come over?" She says in a lower tone. "Yeah come on." I say nonchalantly. "Ok I'll be there." She says before hanging up. I got my phone and called Dae and told him what happened.
"Yo why the fuck would you do that? She drains you."
"I don't know bro." I say bluntly. "Honestly you have a better connection with Lilah. I've been supporting yall as a friendship but I do. not. support you and Nadia so fuck it." Dre says shrugging his shoulders. "Bro Nadia is not all that bad."
"Yes she is. " Dre says with a straight face. "Well y'all can't force me to like Lilah." I say annoyed. "You were just talking about her to me, it sound like you do." He responds. "Whatever, I think Nadia here." I say hearing a knock on the door. I go open the door to see Nadia smiling "I missed you so much." She says reaching for a hug. I give her a hug and she gives me a kiss. We get deep into the kiss "let me close the door mama."
She closes the door behind her and puts her back against the door. "Let's get upstairs." I say and she just shakes her head no and connect our lips again. The kiss gets more intimate. Nadia forces my hands up her skirt then before I could do anything I hear a knock. "Just ignore it come onnnnn" She says trying to kiss me again but I move her out the way. I open the door to see Lilah
