I opened the door for Binnie and there he was standing right in front of me, wearing a white sweater on black pants and a brown coat to compliment the chilly weather
"Come in" I gestured
"Why have you been disturbing my phone? Won't you give me time to get over you?" He says sitting down on the couch opposite me
"Umm...I'm sorry Binnie, I was meant to see you the day after Cha came but you appeared all of a sudden" I began to play with my fingers trying to avoid eye contact
"Look Nara, I really do like you but I guess it's my punishment for my disobedience"
"What do you mean by your punishment for disobedience?" I asked finally staring at him
"At least that got you to meet me in the eye" he chuckled
"Have you ever wondered why the switch between you and Sam happened?" He folds his arms
"At first, I did but I couldn't wrap my head around it so I just stopped thinking about it" I replied
"Well.....it was caused by me" he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly
"What do you mean by you?" I asked, very confused
"I haven't told anyone about this, but only Cha is aware....I'm a fallen angel" he blurts
I burst into laughter from the joke Binnie was making, I get that he loves himself so much but this was hilarious.
"I'm serious" his facial expression stiffened
"Wait...for real?" I stopped my laughing
"What you're about to see, let it not leave this room. It will be a secret between me and you" Binnie says standing up to face me
All of a sudden something like a bright light appeared and I could faintly see wings on Binnie's back
But it seemed like they were withering and slowly falling off, feather by feather
"Woah! Are those?" I asked in awe
"Yes.....let me explain" he sat down back on the couch making the wings to disappear
I looked at him like a child waiting to be told bedtime stories
"Long before helix was formed, I used to live up there" he points to the sky
"I worked as an angel that unites people by a red thread of fate.
Years later, I met Rachel.
I was meant to tie her fate to a guy but I couldn't because I fell in love with her. And because of this, my boss (GOD) sent me down here as my punishment to live my life fully as a human with my wings slowly fading away" he sighed
"And Rachel?" I asked
"Because I couldn't let her meet her fated partner, when I came to earth we dated for a while and then She broke up with me. I really loved her, so I was wondering where things went wrong. I thought God didn't know what he was doing, calling it a 'punishment'
but he actually cursed me that my love would never be reciprocated until my wings disappear for good and I atone for what I did" he said with a sad look in his eyes
"When I was replaced, Rachel finally got to be with who she was fated to meet in the first place and It broke me. At first I decided to let it go but on the day of Sam's accident, I was thinking a lot and decided to meet my new replacement that was in charge of people's fate. But unfortunately, I fought him and he accidentally switched your soul with Sam's"
