The scene at the abandoned place where Liz was discovered lifeless was now under scrutiny for any potential leads, with her body undergoing an autopsy.

Daniel opted to dial Noah to inquire about any developments on his end. As he began typing the number, his phone unexpectedly rang on its own.

The caller turned out to be Sandra. "We've made contact," she informed him promptly upon his answer.

"Who?" Daniel inquired.

"Natasha's mother. She's likely on her way here."

"Alright, I guess" Daniel responded, the conversation briefly falling into silence.

"Hey, since you've called anyway, could you let me know why Natasha passed out in the first place? I didn't spot any injuries, and it's kinda strange," Daniel questioned.

"I sent her report to you this morning," Sandra replied.

Daniel was taken aback by her statement. "I didn't receive it, though," he informed her, recollecting his day, then suddenly realizing something. "I got it, Sandra, just fill me in for now," he added swiftly.

Sandra agreed and proceeded to explain the details to him. "So, does that mean she might have passed away if she was already unconscious?" Daniel exclaimed into the phone upon hearing her explanation.

The other policemen around him glanced in his direction, exchanging murmurs amongst themselves.

After conversing with Sandra, he punched in Noah's number once more, and his phone rang again. This time, it was Noah himself.

"You gotta come here as quick as you can," Daniel winced at his loud urgency.

"Calm down unless you're dying," Daniel retorted, moving his phone away to shield his ears from the volume.

With no immediate response, Daniel spoke up again, "Don't tell me you're actually dying."

"No, but that woman got away," Noah clarified in a grave tone.

"Figured that much, but why do you need ME to come?" Daniel questioned as he briskly made his way towards his car.

"Because I can only walk at the speed of an earthworm and I'm at the backside of her house," he responded, clearly frustrated.

"Whatever, sit down if you can't walk, it'll take me more than thirty minutes," Daniel replied, not paying much heed to Noah's words.

"I could get an ambulance sooner," Noah mumbled to himself, just loud enough for Daniel to catch.

"No one stopped you from calling one," Daniel muttered and then hung up on Noah.

Daniel hurried to Lily's house, and his phone rang once more, with Noah on the line again.

"Gotta be quick, I guess," Daniel sighed as he pulled over to answer the call.

Upon picking up, Noah immediately began reciting Lily's address, leaving Daniel strangely surprised.

"What are you doing right now?" Daniel inquired, stressing each word.

Noah paused for a moment, "Oh, my phone's broken, I was calling for an ambulance and it got to you," Noah explained.

"I will not pick up the next time," Daniel chuckled in a frustrated manner, then hung up the call, and sped away once again.

The prosecutor wasn't joking; he called for an ambulance for real, and in a few minutes, he was at the hospital, getting his ankle checked.

He got his ankle plastered due to the strain. "You called the ambulance for this, sir?" the nurse there asked while clearing away the unused medical supplies.
