Alya glanced back at Lily and inquired, "That will require some time, but if you really did it, it's not something to be proud of, alright?"
"You have more questions to ask, don't you?" Lily chuckled, "Let's not waste any more of your precious time."
Alya exhaled deeply and retrieved several bags from her handbag, each containing red hairs. She set them down on the table in front of Lily.
"A sample from this packet... happens to belong to Miss Natasha," she said, pointing to the bag labeled with an N, "would you explain why you have it?"
"Why do you think?" Lily's expression turned serious as she focused on the bag.
"You were the one who attacked her?" Alya questioned.
Receiving a nod from Lily in response, she pressed on, "It's not confirmed yet, but I assume these two belong to John and Veronica." She raised her eyebrows after her statement and added, "Tell me, is my assumption correct?"
Lily nodded again with a chuckle, making Alya let out a deep sigh.
"As you must already know from the emails, I ordered Leo to send me John's hair after killing him," Lily began before Alya could say anything else, a proud smile forming on her face as she continued, "As for Veronica, everyone knows exactly what I did."
"Don't you regret any of it?" Alya asked, her expression filled with concern.
"Should I?" Lily chuckled, but Alya remained silent at that moment.
Noticing Alya's serious demeanor, Lily suddenly punched the table sideways, her expression shifting to something frightening in less than a second. "What's wrong with killing a couple of people who sell young girls to criminals? Tell me," she yelled in a hushed tone.
Alya sighed, shaking her head in disappointment. "Why did you attack Natasha then, and what about Mrs. Liz as you stated, aren't those two innocent women?" Her gaze was fixed on the table between them when she spoke, and she looked up at Lily right after finishing.
"I had my reasons with that woman. As for Natasha, I made sure not to kill her," Lily replied, her clenched hand on the table relaxing as her expression turned serious again.
Lily struggled to meet Alya's gaze after Natasha's name was mentioned, diverting her eyes to her own feet. She waited for Alya to say something else, but looked up as the room fell silent for a minute.
As she looked up, Lily noticed Alya closing her laptop and putting the three bags back into her handbag. Just then, Lily heard footsteps from behind her and glanced to her side without turning her head.
The jail guards entered the room to escort her back into confinement. Taking a deep breath, she stood up at the same time as Alya.
As Alya began to walk out, Lily called after her, "Shouldn't you thank me at least?"
Alya turned back, raising her eyebrows in question. "I made it easy for you, didn't I?" Lily added.
Alya didn't reply and walked out, leaving Lily to fake a sulking pout for a moment before reverting to her poker face.
The moment Alya stepped out of the questioning room, she turned to look at the doorknob as a memory played in her mind.
"Looking at you, I understand why our country has strict rules for kids as young as you," Alya says to the twelve-year-old figure sitting in front of her in the questioning room. The kid chuckles and replies, "We're done with the questions, right?" His expression turns serious as he notices Alya's judging eyes. "He hurt my friend; what's the big deal for making life easy for her?"
