Minji’s first birthday had arrived, and Winter and Jimin wanted to make it special. They decorated the living room with balloons and a colorful banner that read “Happy 1st Birthday Minji!” A small cake sat on the table, and presents were wrapped and stacked neatly beside it. It was a modest celebration, just for the three of them, but it was perfect in their eyes.
Winter fussed over Minji’s little birthday outfit—a cute pink dress with ruffles—and couldn’t help but snap a million pictures as Jimin helped their daughter toddle around the living room, her laughter filling the air.
“She’s growing so fast,” Winter said, watching them with a soft smile. “It feels like just yesterday she was so small in our arms.”
Jimin nodded, his eyes full of love as he lifted Minji into his arms. “I know. Sometimes I can’t believe it either. But look at her now—our little girl is already one.”
Minji giggled, grabbing at Jimin’s shirt, her bright eyes sparkling with joy. Winter’s heart swelled as she watched them together. This was everything she had ever dreamed of—her family, happy and healthy, celebrating life’s little milestones together.
“Ready to blow out the candles?” Winter asked, bringing the small cake with a single candle over to the table.
Minji, of course, was more interested in trying to grab the cake than anything else, but with Jimin’s help, they managed to blow out the candle, laughing as the tiny flame flickered out.
