The feeling of warm hands rubbing my back pulls me from my sleep. Slowly opening my eyes I saw I was lying on Brian's chest.

Slowly I lift my head to look up at him. Locking eyes with his ocean-blue eyes.

"Good morning Star." he whispers while kissing my forehead.

"How long have you been up." I groan trying to get rid of the sleepiness.

"Probably about 30 minutes or more." he says pulling me in closer to him.

"So you've been watching me sleep? That's kinda creepy." I say hearing how raspy my voice sounds.

I watch as he goes to answer when my phone begins ringing.

'Whose calling me this early?'

Brian passed me my phone and I saw Diamond's name. My stomach dropped because she never calls me this early unless it's something serious.

"What the—" I mutter flipping it open.

"JADE YOU NEED TO COME OVER HERE NOW!" The irate voice of Diamond fills my ears making me shoot up causing Brian to jump up. "My Mom's trying to break! She got some bitch with her and they're trying to jump me, she's said they going to jump me if I don't let her take my siblings."

"WHAT! Are you fucking serious? I'm on my way." I snapped the phone shut as my heart raced, adrenaline surging through me.

"Everything okay?" Brian asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"No! Shit is happening at Diamond's place and I need to get there—now!" I threw the covers off me, scrambling out of bed, my mind already racing with worst-case scenarios.

"Let me help. What do you need?" he says determination flashing in his eyes.

"Clothes." I replied urgency coating my voice.

"In the drawer next to you.' he said, sitting up fully now, the sheets pooling around him.

I opened the dresser and grabbed a pair of sweatpants, a black T-shirt, and a pair of socks, my hands shaking as I pulled them on. Each movement felt frantic, fueled by the impending chaos.

"Jade, wait." Brian said his voice steadying me as I fumbled with the waistband. "Take a breath."

I pause for a second, inhaling deeply. His calmness seeped into me, if only for a moment. "I can't lose them, Brian. I can't let those people take away her siblings."

"I know." he said standing up and moving closer, his presence a fierce shield. "But you need to be ready."

I finished dressing and looked up at him, his expression a blend of concern and resolve. "I'll come back once I'm finished okay?"

"Okay." he replied kissing my forehead.

Grabbing my shoes I quickly race out of Harry's leaving Brian and to my car, starting the engine with a growl that enhanced the urgency in my chest.
