Kabhi kabhi sabse mushkil hissa chhodne ka nahi hota, balki naya shuruat karne ka hota hai.
Tuta hua mehsoos karna theek hai. Yeh is baat ka sanket hai ki aap insaan hain aur ab bhi grow kar rahe hain. After two days, Kahani slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry as she adjusted to the dimly lit hospital room. The steady beeping of the heart monitor and the soft rustling of footsteps in the corridor.
She tried to piece together the fragments of her memory. The last clear recollection she had was the intense argument with Dhir and his parents. The words exchanged were sharp and painful, a storm of accusations.
Kahani woke up groggily, blinking in confusion, her vision blurry. "Where... where am I?"
A nurse gently, noticed Kahani. "Easy now, you're in the hospital. You fainted a few days ago. We've been monitoring you."
Kahani Panicked slightly, her mind still racing with thought. "Hospital? How... how long have I been here?"
"It's been three days. You were brought in by a friend." Nurse replied.
Kahani's heart skipped a beat. "Three days? Who brought me in?"
Nurse checked her chart. "A girl, about your age. She was very worried, stayed by your side the whole time until you stabilized. She kept visiting daily."
Kahani started to piece things together, though her head throbs. "It has to be Meera. It's her, right?"
Nurse nodded slightly, smiling. "Yes, I believe that was her name. She seemed to know you well."
Kahani leaned forward but suddenly clutched her head as a sharp pain hit her. "Ugh, my head... it's hurting. I need to see her. Please, can you call her in?"
Kahani breathing deeply, fighting through the pain. "I need to see her now. I need to know what happened. I have a feeling she knows something... something important."
As the nurse left, Kahani sat back, her mind a swirl of confusion and unease. Flashes of moments before she fainted rush back, but they're blurry, out of reach. Her pulse quickened, and she ran her hand through her hair, trying to calm down.
Kahani talked to herself, her voice shaky. "What happened? Why can't I remember? Meera, where are you...?"
Minutes later, the door creaked open, and Meera walked in. Her face is pale, worry lines etched into her features. The moment their eyes meet, Kahani knew something is wrong.
Meera said softly, standing at the door. "Kahani... thank God you're awake."
Kahani sat up straighter, the pain in her head intensifying, but she pushed it aside. "Meera, what happened? Why am I here?"
Meera walked closer, her hands trembling slightly. "You fainted... I found you on the floor. You were unconscious for so long... I didn't know what to do."
Kahani narrowed her eyes, feeling that Meera is holding something back. "That's not it, is it? There's more. What aren't you telling me?"
Meera closer her eyes and fisted. "Randhir called me."
Kahani: "Randhir ne tumhe call kiya tha?"
