Ranvijay entered the room and noticed his mom's distress. "Kya hua maa, aap itni pareshan kyun lag rahi hain? Aur yeh aansu? Kya baat hai?"
(What happened, Mom? Why do you look so worried? And these tears? What's the matter?)
Ranvijay's Mom dramatically rushed towards him, hugged him tightly and acted like she's crying. "Beta, tu nahi samjhega... Kahani... Kahani mujhe maarne ki koshish kar rahi hai!"
(Son, you won't understand... Kahani... Kahani is trying to kill me!)
Ranvijay taken aback, clearly confused.
"Kya? Maa, aap yeh kya bol rahi ho? Kahani aapko kyun maarne lagegi?"
(What? Mom, what are you saying? Why would Kahani try to kill you?)
Kahani shocked and defended herself, spoke up to clarify. "Ranvijay, yeh sab jhoot hai! Main aapko sach bata rahi hoon, maine aisa kuch nahi kiya!"
(Ranvijay, this is all a lie! I'm telling you the truth, I didn't do anything like that!)
Ranvijay's Mom sobbed even more, making the situation worse. "Nahi! Tumhe meri koi parwah nahi hai! Ab toh yeh mujhe maarne ki dhamki tak de rahi hai! Soch beta, tumhari maa ko maar dalna chahti hai!"
(No! You don't care about me anymore! Now she's even threatening to kill me! Think, son, she wants to kill your mother!)
Ranvijay tried to make sense of the situation, looked between his mom and Kahani. "Kahani, yeh sab kya hai? Maa yeh sab kyun keh rahi hai?"
(Kahani, what is all this? Why is Mom saying all this?)
Kahani frustrated but tried to remain calm, pleading her innocence. "Jay, main sach keh rahi hoon, aapki maa jhoot bol rahi hain! Main kabhi aisa nahi kar sakti. Yeh sab galatfahmi hai!"
(Jay, I'm telling the truth, your mom is lying! I could never do something like this. This is all a misunderstanding!)
Ranvijay's Mom playing the victim, clinged to her son. "Dekha! Abhi bhi meri baat ko jhoot keh rahi hai! Isne mujhe dhamki di, aur ab sab kuch ulta keh rahi hai!"
(See! She's still calling me a liar! She threatened me, and now she's turning the whole story around!)
Then arohi stepped in between, her voice firm but calm).
"Ranvijay, you deserve to know the truth. It's time you hear everything."
Ranvijay, now grew more confused and anxious, turned to Arohi. "Kya sach, bhabhi? Aap kya kehna chahti ho?"
(What truth, sister-in-law? What do you want to say?)
Ranvijay's mom wiped her tears and started speaking in a low, manipulative tone. "Beta, tumhein yeh sab ab tak nahi pata tha, lekin Kahani tumse jhoot bol rahi hai. Woh tumhe dhoka de rahi hai, sirf paison ke liye. Tumhe pata hai, usne tumhare bade bhai Randhir se shaadi ki thi kuch saal pehle."
(Son, you didn't know this until now, but Kahani is deceiving you. She's only after money. Did you know she was married to your elder brother, Randhir, a few years ago?)
Ranvijay, shocked, took a step back.
"Kya? Yeh kaise ho sakta hai? Kahani ne kabhi kuch nahi bataya."
(What? How is that possible? Kahani never told me anything.)
